Hey bud, the thing with the beer line is not just keeping it insulatiled, but more so actively chilled, when the beer sits in the line between the barrel and point of dispense it gets warm quick, that means bacteria and foamy beer. Just a heads up 🤘

I've been planning to do this same project in my home! Love the video - thanks for posting. How are the lines working? The places I called for parts said I would need a glycol chiller for running 10', which is not in my current budget.. Conduit and insulation enough?
@Drich7602 жыл бұрын
90% of his two lines are outside the refrigerator so his taps will eventually be warm and all that new refrigerated beer and coffee that left the kegarator is going to be warm, frothy and stale until he purges all the product that sat in the tubing. Smart move waiting until you can afford to do it right.

The best advice from someone with almost the same setup, every keg change, buy new hose. Dont reuse the lines. Especially that long of one. It's too hard to clean and not worth the trouble. Its worth the $15 just to replace them.
@theemikecee4 жыл бұрын
Nope. Just buy beer line cleaner and a cleaning pot from micromatic and flush your beer lines every two weeks. Also, if your beer psi is above 17psi it could over carbonate your beers. It should be 5” of 3/16 line followed by 3/8 line to the keg.
@DanCarman4 жыл бұрын

So since your running the lines quite a distance to the tap, is there any issue with the beer and coffee in the lines between the keg and tap?Seems like it would get luke warm and would have to be bled (for lack of a better term) to get that good cold stuff, and that’s just a waste of good coffee and beer.

At the very end when you were demonstrating the fridge tray and showing the finished results of everything, the two bottom drawers on the left-hand side of the fridge look to be a lighter shade of stain than the top three drawers and I was just curious if it was just because for whatever reason those pieces of wood excepted the stain differently or did you use two different types of stain perhaps or maybe is it just maybe the lighting playing tricks on me? Again...I'm just curious that's all but other than that, stellar results overall as usual John. Everything looks sweet and I know you're loving having those taps. So sick! Good work my dude.
@John_Malecki4 жыл бұрын
So we used a water base stain and it took to the top pieces a little darker. Staining isn’t something I’m a pro at, but learnin for sure. Also, the camera makes it wayyyyy more dramatic
@PetesShopMakes4 жыл бұрын
@@John_Malecki That's kind of what I figured and was only asking because I'm doing a project with some oak as well and have been having the same issue with the sample pieces I tested so I'm thinking I may not do the stain and go another route. Thanks for the swift reply brotha. I appreciate the info. Ok, That is all....Take care
