Ok, "Runaway Train" is an EXCELLENT movie with an unfortunate title that makes it sound like some cheesy train wreck schlock. The acting is SO good, no doubt in my mind John Voigt's last good movie. So glad to see it come to streaming. And "Revolutionary Road" is excellent as well for the acting. Even a small vignette by Michael Shannon, who is ALSO great in "Nocturnal Animals," an even more brilliant movie, is worth watching for that alone.
@justaguy61002 ай бұрын
By The Way, "The Grand Tour" is excellent, the work these guys do, including on their own that you can catch on Prime, are the best that ever happened for "Top Gear." I know a lot of people like the new version but, man, these three are so very good together. If you like automobile history, try and find James May's doc on Prime that includes the origin of the VW Bug. Then you'll know why they had him in the trio.

Dredd was finished, in the can, then held up due to distribution problems. The makers of The Raid found out about it and cranked out their movie as quick as they could so they could beat Dredd to the box office. So, The Raid kinda riffs on Dredd, not the other way around.

I personally enjoy all of the Chucky movies and I wasn’t against this reboot like most Chucky fans seem to have been, as a matter of fact, I enjoyed it so much back when it came out that I saw it twice in theaters, once with my best friend David and once with my Uncle Rob so, yeah it’s been since back in 2019 when it was in theaters that I’ve seen this, I’ve been wanting to check it out again, I just didn’t want to spend the money to rent it as I couldn’t find it on streaming so, thanks Darren for letting me know it is currently on Prime Video. Another one on prime right now I may watch again in preparation for Halloween is Barbarian as I think that’s a fantastic horror movie that when I first saw it on Max as I never caught it in theaters, I was blown away by the twist, I did not see the twist coming personally and when it did I literally had to pause the movie and literally say to myself “did what I think just happened in the twist actually happen or am I imagining it?” Then I rewound it a bit and rewatched the twist a second time to confirm and yeah, the twist was definitely as fucked up as I thought it was.
