Celebrimbor in Shadow of Mordor and Shadow of War was an absolute menace. A man on a very personal revenge crusade against Sauron, whom he almost beat TWICE. Rings of Power's Celebrimbor is an absolute joke compared to him.

As with everything RoP, if it is not on screen then it does not exist. In the "weeks" that Celebrimbor has bedn working on the rings, the other Elves were just sitting on their arses and doing nothing while hoping that their singular messenger got through. In the following "days", which have been taking place during the siege, Celebrimbor's trips outside the forge in order to get something to eat, or drink, or use the toilet, never once tripped over any bodies or rubble, or got hit by anything, or even had another Elf try to get his attention.

It's basically the two archetypes: Either the illusion is shattered when the target refuses to accept it as reality or the illusion is broken by causing enough damage to the interior which usually causes an overload as the illusion struggles to maintain itself. Extreme example of the latter is The Gamer who breaks an illusion by essentially creating a black hole - after all, no matter how great and complex the illusion is it won't survive him literally vacuuming it up.
