Fantastic talk and gave me so many great ideas to come up with more solid metric examples for my upcoming amazon interview next week. I think this talk with a product manager was more relevant to me as Hardware engineer being more product focussed than a chat with someone purely in tech like a PM or a Software engineer. All your youtube videos have been really insightful in helping me solidify my stories and add more depth and details to them. I also dont feel too bad about using some of my soft skills gathered working at non profits when I had career gaps as it feels like it gives me a more rounded perspective. Thinking like a leader at every stage in your career is such a wonderful perspective. one of the questions that had me stumped in my phone interview was a question about how I deal with when I don't have data at hand and this chat made me introspect on that better now. Is it possible to raise the bar to a higher level than what you apply for in an amazon interview?

Thank you GG and Venkat for this video! Question, I have Amazon onsite interview loop coming up for Principal Product Manager Tech (PMT) 1. so should I expect some Product design/ Product case question in one of the interviews? Or strictly it’s System Design question for everyone no matter what role you are applying for? Venkat didn’t mention anything about system design plus Venkat’s background is completely non-tech where system design interview could be irrelevant. I feel system design is mainly for SDM, SDE and TPM roles. 2. Should I ask recruiter about this ? Please advice, I don’t want to lose on LPs prep by giving so much importance to product/system design prep

Definitely check with your Recruiter.

What happened to your interview? Did you get it?
@asp12012 жыл бұрын
@@surya-qs6vp I was interviewed for L7 but in the result they encouraged me to apply for L6 roles. I didn’t pursue that, recruiter’s basically don’t cooperate the way they do when it’s first time interview

Hi GG, I have completed my technical interview, Do you think the loop still involve technical questions.
@amazoninterviewwhizzdayone5032 жыл бұрын
Possibly. Ask your recruiter

I am curious if there are difficulty levels of the questions in the possible question bank based on the level you're interviewing for or are they looking for more scope and complexity in the answers given? Thanks!
@amazoninterviewwhizzdayone5033 жыл бұрын
Nope no different levels. Just a couple specific for people managers for each LP. You determine the complexity with your choice of examples.

Hey amazon whizz gail, have a quick qusn, how should I receede/walk away an offer from amazon that I accepted, their is some personal reason for doing so and while I plan to do that, will their be any future impacts or bad impact of doing so
@abhishek230219873 жыл бұрын
And as I ask you this question, have to thank you a lot for all insights that you gave, it provided me with confidence and I was better prepared for things that came my way
@amazoninterviewwhizzdayone5033 жыл бұрын
Firstly you are most welcome. Second- I can't promise it won't have an impact but I would consider it extremely unlikely. Amazon is staffed by humans, they know that life happens and sometimes things just don't work out. Obviously the sooner you renege on your commitment the better. Be polite, contrite, apologetic and as transparent as you can. Make sure you thank the Recruiter profusely for their efforts on your part. If it was me I'd also reach out the hiring manager. They will be upset but a respectful and apologetic outreach will go a long way to remove the sting. Good luck.
