I’m an Irishman and I travel all over the world. It is my favourite pastime. I met my wife in Ontario in Toronto however she is an Alberta girl born and raised in Edmonton and grew up in the town of Canmore. Now when we met and I went back to Ireland, she decided to come back to Ireland with me. We lived there for many years. But I have citizenship to several countries and felt like living somewhere else looked into New Zealand, Australia, the states and Canada. I asked my wife where she would like to live and she asked if she could go back to Canada. I asked her where Canada and she wanted to go back to Alberta, so we’ve been living in Alberta for 17 years. We are glad you had so much fun in our backyard.

That’s a beautiful story! We met a super nice Irish couple in Vancouver that recently received a two year work visa. I’m sure they’ll end up wanting to stay longer. We can’t wait to come back to Alberta!!

@@deniseandreed --- ABOUT PEPPER SPRAY: Don't take the official gov't line too seriously. Only at the border. There are HUNDREDS of illegally smuggled USA handguns in Canada in the hands of criminal gangs in Vancouver and some in Calgary and Edmonton and Winnipeg, and LOTS in Toronto, many of these gangs have their origins with the Triad Gangs in Asia, the gov't tries to stop the handguns at the border but are only partly able to do it. Pepper spray is legal when bought in Canada for wildlife protection but carry it discreetly in wildland regions ONLY. Calgary to Winnipeg is like driving from Denver to Kansas City across the great plains, with some interesting "badland" and dinosaur places. The thousands of lakes in the north are mostly accessible by float-plane only. If you have ever seen the typical scene of Canada of a wilderness lake at sunset with a moose wading in it this is the region, which continues into northern Ontario. The Great Lakes are shared with the USA. Toronto is like Chicago, maybe safer and more multi-cultural. Toronto has a HUGE and unjustified ego, as any Canuck will attest.

@@JB-yb4wn You must mean the wide open big skies, the inexpensive gasoline, the fields of bright yellow canola flowers set against a bracing blue sky, the hunt-and-find-and-photograph search for old grain elevators, the disarmingly friendly people, the cheap grocery and restaurant food, the feeling of safety when parking my van and sleeping on the city and town's streets at night - as a single woman, Gravelbourg, watching a powerful thunderstorm move in over the horizon, Fort Walsh, the amazing Grasslands National Park, for the ultimate cheeze factor - the Giant Moose in Moose Jaw :D the RCMP Center

I,m 75 and an Ojibway Woman living now in Alderville First Nation…spent a good portion of my life exploring North America and Mexico…I,ll start with B.C….travvelling up the Alaska Highway…incredible…lakes, Wildlife…be sure to stop at Liard Hot Springs for a good soak…Bears and Moose And Wolves etc. galore…places off the highway to pull over and explore and to just find incredible treasure…Labrador Tea grows in Huge swaths along with so many other delectable clean plant live…rocks, from broken off Dinosaur bones to jade bits etc…heading now up to the Yukon…Heaven…roaring waters…Hiking through astounding terrain…Salmon galore…many memories of building a fire and cooking a salmon and sharing with friends…the daylight that seems to last 24 hours.in the summer and in the winter total nighttime…the meteor showers..the northern lights that you can make move by whistling…the cold that goes right through you at minus 60 but that you soon get used to after you learn to dress properly…the howl of the Wolves at night…the north country is a land of magic that no one should miss out on…I lived in the north 20 years somewhat…it becomes a part of you…Fossils ! Liard Hot Springs and the Yukon are old, beginning of time old…if you follow the Liard River close to the Hot Springs there I found Huge fossils I think Oyster…at Liard there are plants going back to the ice age…geology students often can be found studying the plant life…bats, Herbs etc……Heavy Bear population so travel with caution…😎♥️😎

Do not miss Newfoundland and Labrador. Canada’s remote Gros Morne National Park is one of only 3 places in the world where you can see and walk on the Earth’s mantle. Newfoundland has Fjords. You can see whales and icebergs in Newfoundland (depends on the time of year). Newfoundland is like no other place in the world. (Lookup Gander Airport the day of 9 11 ). Newfoundland joined Canada in 1949 therefore it has a unique culture. You will fall in love with the accent, the food, the music, then landscape and the people

My wife and I visited the east coast in 2002 - simpler times - anyways we drove a lot since we had only a week. I highly recommend driving along the road that runs along the edge of the Gaspe Peninsula and to the town of Gaspe to see Percé rock, it’s incredibly scenic. Unfortunately have not yet visited Newfoundland yet, but a Newfie friend tells me you can find snow in the shadow of rocks in Gros Morne even in July. Make sure you get screeched in if you go!

As a Canadian I have travelled across this country and there are beautiful places to see, everywhere you go. East to west, (or west to east), you won't be disappointed. Quebec is beautiful - Montreal and Quebec City are very historic, lots of great food and architecture. The Atlantic provinces - NB, NS, PEI, and Nfld are spectacular as well. Taking the train through the mountains - Jasper, Banff, and into BC has spectacular scenery. The North is also very unique. From coast, to coast, to coast, Canada is a beautiful country! Wouldn't want to live anywhere else!!

I've also encountered lots of Canadian dick heads who share my nationality, and I've lived in various parts of Canada. People are people, no matter where you go.

@@deniseandreed --- I really liked your comment at 8:22 that Banff is just the tip of the iceberg. I have spent a lifetime exploring Western Canada and lived in the towns of Banff and Canmore for a total of 10 years, but as anyone who knows the region will say......... Go BEYOND .......... because the nature continues all within the 100,000 sq mile southern Rocky Mtn region of Canada, and way beyond to Coast-Cascades region along the Pacific, you saw some of it around Whistler and the central plateaus and valleys between the mountains have some worthwhile places too. The north half of BC and into the Yukon is fabulous but vast and wild and remote and challenging to access even in summer, only a few highways cross it and services are few and far between and it stays like that all the way to Fairbanks and Anchorage.

My son grew up on Vancouver Island (where my husband and I still live). He now lives in Calgary with his family. He LOVES ice fishing and spends as much time as he can doing that every winter. I grew up ice fishing with my dad in Ontario. Nothing like it!

People always overlook Saskatchewan or if they go there, it's just driving through on the No. 1 highway (Trans Canada). Head north a little bit, and you'll see a beautiful landscape. Saskatoon is full of festivals all summer, Batoche is an amazing place to visit to understand Louis Riel and the Metis resistance, Waskesiu is a beautiful national park...... The list goes on. Just another idea for you. Enjoyed your videos on BC and Alberta. Take care.

My wife and I take our E-bikes (we are both over 60) and take a specially designed bike road hugging the beach area between those two towns…just a wonderful experience!!

FYI: the flashing green light 🚦 means the intersection has a button for pedestrians to press to cross the street, so drivers can be aware that the usual timing of signal changes might be interrupted. yikes, flashing green in Ontario is the old school way of signalling advance left turn on green., ie. the opposite for pedestrians, their walk signal doesn't start until the flashing green stops for the drivers. Metro areas now have been replaced with green arrows but if you get out into the sticks there is still flashing greens for free left turn. Amazed that confusion hasn't caused problems, I've driven all over BC (mostly Victoria on business mind you), and if I saw flashing green I was turning left. Probably pissed off a fair amount of locals.

If you go through Ontario, I recommend taking the Chi Cheemaun ferry from Manitoulin Island to Tobermory and then drive down the Bruce Peninsula. Like BC, you will want to book ahead for the ferry and some of the sights in the area.

I'd check out the East Coast. Newfoundland has some of the best topography in the country. Gros Morne National Park has fjords and then there are quaint untouched seaports like Fogo Island. Nova Scotia has Cape Breton Highlands National Park, Peggy's Cove and Lunenburg are famous for a reason, and then there's Halifax, the historic capital. PEI is a tiny but packs a punch. The freshest seafood, miles of sandy beaches, red soil, and rolling farmland for miles. New Brunswick: Hopewell Rocks/Bay of Fundy and historic Saint John.

If you go to British Columbia again, you definitely need to go to Osoyoos. It's a border town and it is Canada's desert 🏜 Do a wine tour, stop at the desert cultural center.go swimming in the lake, stop and see spotted lake. Check out the local art gallery go for a trail ride on horse back. There is more. Better check it out.

Enjoyed your video very much. So glad you enjoyed your visit to Canada. One province you must visit is Newfoundland. My sister and I visited in August 2005. As we were about to drive off the ferry a young couple asked us where we were going. We said we were not quite sure yet. They said to just follow them. So we followed them to Stephenville where they offered to let us stay in their home for the night. We said that as they were just getting home to their family after a business trip we would just stay in a local motel until the next day when we would meet them for lunch. On the way to the motel they suggested we asked a lady on the street for directions. She said as she helped us that if she wasn't going to work we could just stay with her. The next day after having lunch with them and staying at their home overnight they drove us north to visit the woman's parents. The parents insisted on giving up their bed and taking us out to eat during our three day stay. The woman's brother took us out in his boat where he caught a cod and then threw it back explaining that he would be fined for catching and keeping it due to the law. Google that. When all is said and done, the people in Newfoundland are the friendliest people I have ever met. Don't ask a local on the street where to find a good restaurant. They'll take you home for dinner. Also Google Gander 911.

Lots to see in Canada, that’s for sure. I’m surprised u didn’t mention the size and abundance of old growth trees/forests when down at the coast (BC), they are spectacular❣️ One thing u might like to do is rent a house boat on Shuswap Lake which has over 1000 km of shoreline 💖 Sicamous is still the houseboat capital of N America I believe. You’re such a sweet couple! As an old guy I appreciate you living your lives with so much spirit. I truly hope you continue to experience the world in such an open minded way. I hope you have the opportunity to see the rest of Canada from coast to coast. As someone who lives in Saskatchewan I hope you deviate from the Trans Canada highway as you drive through. A good stretch of the Trans Canada from Alberta to Regina is a FLAT and straight drive. But, tou can visit a desert in Canada in Cyprus Hills/palliser region I. The South West. My home town Saskatoon.is a lovely city, but probably not as exotic as you might like. I used to live in Winnipeg Manitoba which is a little like the Chicago of Canada. Manitoba and especially Winnipeg is a little like visiting a country inside a country. It’s a weird place that has an opera and a major ballet company, but the same people who go to the ballet also go bowling on the weekend. It’s a place we’re the the rich aren’t too pretentious And the middle class still seem to embrace their working class roots.if you go there you need to drive through the Portage and Main intersection and check out The Forks which is the old intersection of several rivers and he old national railway junction. It’s has become a bohemian market area with string influences of of 1st nation culture (American Indian in US language.

I live in Regina, Saskatchewan and still marvel at the friendliness of people.Saskatchewan has its own beauty and has approximately 100,000 lakes in the north and prairie in the south. Well worth the visit.

The flashing green light is a pedestrian controlled intersection. The lights will remain flashing green until one of the pedestrian crossing buttons is pressed. It will not cycle on a timer, or change when cars arrive from the cross street. If you end up in Tofino, I highly recommend spending most of a day at Hot Springs Cove. The most common way to get there is by water taxi, and then a bit of a hike on a nice wooden plank path. This seems right up your alley anyway; bring bathing suits.

I was born in BC and grew up on the west coast. I spent most of my adult life trucking all over North America and have been to all 48 of the lower states. In Canada I never got east of Quebec City so when we retired we decided we would take a trip to the only are we had never seen and that was the Maritimes. We spent a month traveling around there and wish we had stayed longer. My favorite place, even though we really liked PEI, was Newfoundland. I don't know why but I kind of fell in love with the island. When we were in Sidney, NS i got talking to someone there who told me about how friendly people in Newfoundland are. He wasn't exaggerating. I told my wife that if I ever win the lottery I would buy 2 more houses. We have one in Alberta, where we now live, one on Vancouver Island where I lived for many years, and one in Newfoundland, where I would probably find myself spending most of my time. It's an amazing place. If you get back to Canada and go east that is one place you really have to go. I enjoyed your discussion in this video and hope that if you get back to our country you have as much fun as you did on this trip.

Friends! Come back! ❤❤❤ We drove across the Trans Canadian Highway last year when we moved to Nanaimo, BC from Toronto, and it was sooooo gorgeous and worth the drive. The endless sunset we drove into through the prairies was such a rad experience. If you want good Mexican food and tortillas, my kitchen is the most consistent place I’ve found here, so I make them all by hand these days. We found a pretty good little Mexican restaurant here called Jalapeños recently though, and being able to go buy a burrito warms my little San Diego based heart. I was born and spent much of my life in BC, but now I’m in southern Ontario in a town called Cobourg, right on the northern shore of Lake Ontario, and I love it more than anywhere I’ve lived. Such a pretty town and such friendly people. If you visit here, it will give you a whole other view of Canada. Rolling hills and gentle farmland, and further north is the rocky, rugged Canadian Shield. Not to be missed! As for the flashing green light, here in Ontario it’s called an “advanced green”, and it means that you can turn left because the oncoming traffic still has a red light. The flashing green on your side is in advance of the green on the other side. I’m glad you enjoyed your trip to Canada. I wouldn’t want to live anywhere else in the world.

Too bad you weren't here later. The Northern Lights have been putting on a show. If you go to Northern BC, you need to check out Liard Hot Springs. The Atlantic provinces are so worth a visit. They're pretty small, too, so you can really see them fully. The Bay of Fundy has the highest tides in the world. You can go tidal bore rafting when the tides change. Hopewell Rocks is also good to see. At low tide, you can explore on foot. At high tide, you can kayak through the same area. Lunenberg is a world heritage site. It's so beautiful. It's a postcard of a fishing village. You can even go out on the Bluenose II which is a replica of a famous sailing boat that is on the back of our dime. Cape Breton Island is right up there when it comes to beautiful drives, especially if you go in fall. There's so much more that I haven't even touched on.

I'm surprised you couldn't find tortillas, almost every chain supermarket, (and some other stores) has a Mexican food section, maybe not as comprehensive as in the U.S. You will find tortillas in the bakery section, along with pitas, naan, Portuguese buns, crumpets, and English muffins. We do have Mexican restaurants in Vancouver, as well as Argentinian, Brazilian, Central American, Spanish, etc., just have to seek them out.

I lived in Canmore for about a decade, and I used to go out of my way to take people who were visiting and show them things and places that most tourists/travelers don't get to see. There are so many beautiful hikes that don't get the recognition they deserve. Always try to hook up with a local and ask about areas that aren't promoted as much, no matter where you go in Canada, because every part of the country has their "famous" sights as well as so many areas that are more "locals only".

One of the more beautiful road trips in eastern Canada is the "Tour de la Gaspésie" a 1 week tour of Quebec's Gaspe peninsula. In New Brunswisk you can see the highest tides in the world. The cities of Quebec, Montreal, Ottawa and Toronto are worth a visit.

Check out the East coast! NFLD is awesome. Cape Breton, Nova Scotia, with the Cabot Trail. The water is warmer on the East coast due to ocean currents.

the ocean water on the east coast certainly is not warmer than the west coast. on the west coast the japanese current terminates (thus the temperate rainforest), there are beaches around parksville/qualicum where the ocean is like a bathtub temp. in summer. desolation sound is likewise famous in the boating community for it's warm water, that entire coast is repeatedly known as some of the best boating in the world. the east coast is colder than europe (like the british isles and ireland) because of the amoc current, the warm water sinks near iceland and the water is much colder on the north atlantic coast of north america.

Old guy and wife (70's) here, here on the BC west coast. Living remote, OFF-THE-GRID and with free roaming dogs. We would not go back to the city for anything. We traveled starting young and annual flight/road trip was almost always a treat but not always so in the US. Some great people, some great sights but, well, US culture is car-centric, money-chasing, celebrity worshipping, sometimes ugly and ignorance is epidemic. Bottom line: travel MORE. A LOT MORE. I've been all over everywhere in N. America and I love BC the most. But there is so much more to this life than just NA culture.

In Ontario - flashing light is left turn advance light - so on those turning left can advance through the flashing green light.

I'm going to clarify that a bit: the flashing green means the oncoming traffic light is still red. It means you can turn left or go through or turn right without oncoming traffic. When it stops flashing and goes solid green, that means oncoming traffic is now also green, so normal intersection rules apply. These used to be quite common in Ontario, but you don't see them much anymore; they have been replaced mostly with 4 unit traffic lights: red, yellow, green, and a green left arrow.

If you come to Manitoba, come in summer, we have so much going on , and a lot of great festivals. You mentioned a drive across Canada, that would be an epic trip, but to see even part of all we have to offer, you would need months, at least. My husband is from the East Coast, specifically Newfoundland. I have been there many times and each time it did not disappoint. There are so many things to do on the west coast where my husband is from. You can climb Grosse Morne Mountain, hike to Western Brook Falls, take a drive to see the Viking ruins, and whale watching from the shore to name a few. The best thing of all is the people. If you go to Canada's east coast, Newfoundland is a must-see.

As I'm getting older, I'd like to try another big trip perhaps back to Ontario where I'm from. I'd also like to head to the Arctic Ocean with my adult children. Mostly what I appreciated about your videos is your lovely, beautiful relationship. It just shines. I could see right away you are both gentle people. You will be welcomed wherever you go in Canada because of your goodness. Canada would be proud to adopt you as citizens but that's a bit out there for you I'm sure. Int terms of the ultimate all dressed chip, last night I went to my favourite:Ruffles all dressed. It's not too tangy and you can definitely tell it's not barbeque with the vinegar hints which in some brands can be overpowering. All dressed is my go to chip, with some nice home made dip (tip: use 14% butterfat, it's worth it). I'm a chipaholic. Thanks again for your wonderful series. Hey guys glad you enjoyed our beautiful little country! Im in Ontario but have either lived in or visited many of the places on your trip. If you do it again try starting out in Alberta and definitely check out the badlands around Drumheller especially the museum. Then do the prairies east to Ontario, you might think at first its too long too boring but the prairies offer their own special kind of unique beauty that's better appreciated if you stay off the Trans Canada hwy, its long yes but it'll leave a lasting impression. Northern Ontario is 2nd to none especially from Thunder Bay to Sault Saint Marie along the north shore of Lake Superior. There's amethyst mines around Thunder Bay you can get some deals...tell your friends.

⁠​⁠@@deniseandreedNew Brunswick is so beautiful and not as commonly spoken about. Vast forests, beautiful waterways, the Bay of Fundy and Mount Carlton (the highest peak in Atlantic Canada). When people talk about coming to the east coast of Canada, they often say that they want to see PEI, Nova Scotia and Newfoundland and they pass through New Brunswick but it is just as phenomenally beautiful as the other three and not usually packed with tourists. You have to come. You won’t regret it. I love hiking in Fundy National Park. The terrain is so varied that you can find beautiful beaches, deep valleys, amazing waterfalls and quiet forests all in one day.

You're right about the flashing green light. It's a pedestrian controlled intersection that advises drivers that the light could change by a pedestrian, even if cross traffic is non-existent. Another unusual traffic regulation in British Columbia is the ability of drivers to turn right on a red light, which is apparently not a thing in other parts of the country. Ruffles all-dressed chips really are pretty good. I hope you find some!

I grew up in the lower mainland in Langley BC. My wife and I moved to the Central Okanagan in South Central BC just North of Kelowna in the district of Lake Country. We lived there for 13 years before moving to Edmonton Alberta where we now live. If you didn't go to the Okanagan while you were in BC you owe it to yourselves to go. It's about 3.5 - 4.5hrs drive from the lower mainland depending which way hwy you take. It's beautiful, gorgeous lakes, fresh fruit, and hot in the summer (the lakes are pretty warm by mid August). So, if you like it hot, it's a great place to be hehe... Temps can regularly exceed 100°F from around mid July through mid August (upper 30°s - mid 40°s Centigrade), and the hottest day we had when we were living there was 47°C / 117°F. If you're not into it being that hot, then I'd say go before or after that 4 week period, because at least in the years we lived there, that's when it was the hottest. I used to love sitting in my backyard with my telescope at 2am and it being toasty warm with temps in the 90°F range hehe...

Cloverdale (BC) Rodeo May long weekend. Second largest in Canada after Calgary Stampede. Head Mashed in Bison jump, south of Calgary, World Heritage site, Cypress Hills Provincial Park, SK. Clearwater Lake Provincial Park Manitoba ( a little north), if you don't want to travel that far north, there are plenty of provincial parks by Brandon. Make sure you go to Blue Hills Bakery if you are in Brandon, homemade Hutterite food.

Love China Town. The restaurants of Vancouver!! It's been a while, and you reminded how super Vancouver is. (Wrong side of the continent for Mexican food . . . I have trouble finding mexican stuff, too.) And the island. Went to university in Victoria, and it holds such a special place in my heart. One thing you could learn . . .snow is fun! Winter is fun! and beautiful. Don't be afraid of winter. Ski, skate, toboggan, hike,, build a snow-person, throw snowballs, build a snow fort and have a snowball fight . . .then hot chocolate by the fire. I hope you come back. Quebec in the fall and winter, the colour of the leaves in October, the festivals, the cities. Ski in the west, skate in the east on frozen rivers or ponds. Montreal is as close to Europe as you can get without crossing the pond. And the people are renowned for being warm and welcoming. (I love the double-cheek kiss as a greeting!)

My partner and I drove across the country (in a truck with a truck box camper); actually, from Alberta to the Maritimes and back to Alberta but have lots of family in BC and have been to BC hundreds of times. I love the Ice Fields parkway (I think I am a bit spoiled because I have driven that road tons of times and I don't think I have ever driven it without seeing at least 1 bear). I loved the Cabot Trail in Nova Scotia. But one of my favourites of all time was the drive from Forillon National Park (Quebec) to my sister's house in Gatineau (Quebec). We drove it in October and the colours were outstanding! Such a lovely drive in the fall. Gaspé Peninsula and the St. Lawrence are beautiful but I did miss the wildlife of the west.

Prettiest and most unknown drive is the one from Terrace BC to Price Rupert BC, and if you make that drive then head to Haida Gwaii as it might make you happy to skip Alaska. So many people stop there on the way back from Alaska and mention they would have skipped Alaska if they knew about the Ghwaii Hanaas. One of the most beautiful and grounding places on earth.

i'm glad you enjoyed your time here in the big white north :-) a couple of things, a) green flashing traffic lights, they are usually at crosswalks 'idling' until a pedestrian pushes the button, then they turn into regular traffic lights, cycling through yellow, red and back to flashing green. b) next time try to include the southern interior of BC, the Okanagan valley (only desert in Canada) where you can ski (up to April) in the morning, golfing in the afternoon or visiting one of the many wineries after sunbathing on a sandy beach....... c) we might don't have as many Mexican restaurants, but making up for it with east Indian food!

I am in eastern Canada, Nova Scotia. There r 4 eastern provinces right in the water on the Atlantic Ocean, u r never too far from the water, so many things to do and see if u love the water. Plus the cabot trail in Nova Scotia is one of the top 3 scenic drives in the world, the other two being big sur and the Apennine way in Italy.

Here is a short list for your next visit: Harvey's, a burger chain, the poutine is quite tasty. Lay's chips: Smoky Bacon is the bomb. Hickory Sticks it's potato sticks, so good, in the chip aisle. If you like chocolate bars: Coffee Crisp Aero, Oh Henry, and Smarties, similar to plain M&M's, but better. Nova Scotia: Peggy's Cove, you must have the lobster. Ottawa: Parliament Hill, The Royal Mint, The Byward Market. I could go on and on, but I won't. I am biased being Canadian. I came to Alberta in 1996 at the age of 19 as an immigrant in search for getting admission in a University. Did my university Engineering degree here in Calgary, I decided against moving anywhere else such as, the Eastern provinces or the US and decided to build my career here and pay my taxes here since I did not yearn to go anywhere else. I came here only with $150 in 1996 as a 19 year old. Now, with a career working in the corporate industry for 23+ years, wife, kids, big house, expensive cars etc. everything I could hope for, I am able to afford. Whatever your aspirations are, Calgary has the tools in spades to make it happen as long as you can put in the hard work and also Banff, Lake Louise being there only 2 hours drive away, is the icing on the cake..

The most southern point in Canada is Point Pelee it aught to be the warmest in summer. No mountains in Ontario, however. It takes weeks to drive across Canada. The scenic parts of Ontario are the waterfalls. Even Ottawa has a waterfall right in the city. The thing that impressed me most in BC were the cascades down mountainsides, I’ll remember them.

Eastern Canada is equally stunning in a completely different way. The Cabot Trail is a must, and if you’re able to get to Newfoundland…signal hill, cape spear (the eastern most point in North America… It’s a really good place to catch a sunrise. If you can get there early enough], George Street in St. John’s, and if you do the West Coast as well, definitely spend a few days in Gros Morne national Park. It is stunning… while in the national park, check out Western Brook Pond, Bakers Brook Falls, and a tour of the table lands, where the earths mantle is visible.

One touristy event as a Quebecer Canadian is to see the Whale watching in CHARLEVOIX. Here in MTL we have amazing poutine and restaurants!! We have every Sunday at the base of Mount Royal, we have the TAMS TAMS, it's where free-flowing spirited residents gather to dance 🕺🏾 💃🏽to local drummers 🪘. From late May to early October. 🔆

We live in Chilliwack BC surrounded by mountains with beautiful Vedder River. You must also visit the Sunshine Coast- our favorite spot on the west coast- a short ferry ride from the Horse shoe bay! Come back…Canada is a cool place to live !!

For your next Vancouver Island tour, please consider arriving on the Coho Ferry from Port Angeles, Wa to downtown Victoria. Then the circle route via Sooke, Jordan River, Port Renfrew and back to the main Highway. From there Tofino and Ucuelet. From there, the ferry from Port Hardy to Malcom Island and Bere Point campground. All of Vancouver Island is magic.

If you get back to Vancouver island check out the west coast trail, it is a 6 - 8 day hike. I lived in Tofino for 12 years it is a very friendly laid back place. Lots of orcas and grey whales, make sure you take the tour to theHot springs cove. Water comes out of the the rocks at 100 F (220 C) then the cold water from the ocean comes splashing into the pools you are soaking in, guaranteed rubber legs after.

I grew up in Canmore and one winter activity that is 1. Great if you don't like the cold and 2. Very fun especially if you like dogs is Dog Sledding tours. The one we did was by Lake Louise but yeah! So much fun they just bundle you into the carriage

Explore the Rockies by Skiing, downhill is my favourite because you cover so much of the mountains. Cross - Country skiing is also a great way to immerse in nature.
