No. It is and has always been pronounced "Bew (as in few) -fort." Beaufort, N.C. however, is pronounced "Bo (as in low) fort. I live in Beaufort County.

True, most American can't afford a new homes like this family. The husband is a former drug addict and dealer. These business channels have become propaganda networks to push an agenda. The reason housing is so high is because the real estate industry has become a scam industry. Since 2008 banks, financial institutions, hedge fund companies, and real estate firms have been buying up housing creating a low inventory environment. They are renting a high percentage while only selling a few at high prices. The traditional family everyday consumer is not buying. Let's look at the real economy. Since the late 1970's wages have fallen behind inflation 300%. 50% of Americsns make less than 30K per year. 86% make less than 65K per year. Less than 20% of US households make over 100k per year. If two people are working then 80% are not bringing in 100k together. Benefits and retirement programs continue to be eliminated. 401K are failures while the medium 401k balance nationwide is around $86,000. 40 years ago the middle class owned 56% of all assets. Today the top 1% own 50% of the assets, the next 9% own 40^ and the remaining 90% own 10% of all assets. In other words tge middle class is being eliminated. Most can't afford $1 million homes. The system will eventually collapse. The US has a total.of $100 trillion in total debt which includes unfunded liabilities, corporate debt, derivatives, consumer debt, household debt, and government debt. Our debt to gdp ratio is 124%. A strong healthy economy runs under 30%. It is all a big lie.
