AMERICAN HORROR STORY COVEN | Sims 4 Speed Build
Hello there! happy spooktober everyone. Today we are going to travel to New Orleans to Miss Robichauxs academy for exceptional young ladies from American horror Story Coven! A witch school in the antebellum style. It is a highly requested build by you guys. So I obliged and did a lot of research and tried to bring it to The Sims 4 as good as possible. This gorgeous house will have a huge living room and kitchen, 4 bathrooms, a grand staircase, 4 bedrooms, by which one is a master bedroom for the supreme and the other three are dorm rooms for the girls! I really hope you like it!

First: AHS Coven is my favorite season and you did such a great job on this build, it's beautiful! Second: May be an unpopular opinion, but I think it's entirely idiotic to hate on a particular architectural style simply because the people who lived in those houses once owned slaves. Are we going to start hating castles and other medevil styles for the same reasons? What about colonials or the pyramids in egypt? It's just people being overly dramatic and dumb. It's important to remember our history and learn from it yes, and slavery is terrible. But why are we bringing architecture into it?

Yeah. I partly agree on your stance there. The Antebellum architecture is very beautiful and in my mind I think it has to be preserved. But I am just a boring white German girl who is of course not as well versed in the history of people of color in the US. I understand when it makes you uncomfortable as a poc. As a German I compare it to Nazi buildings as a jewish person. Here in Germany we preserved the concentration camps as a reminder of the past and as a way to educate people about what happened. But some people also want them to be torn down, because of the same reason. The ugly past and for not being there on this earth. (sorry if I can't express it properly). I get both sides there too. Now these planation houses aren't like a mass murdering machine as concentration camps but mostly just normal homes of slave owners. BUT I think it has to do with the events still being very fresh and new, families/people of those who have suffered are still alive and well and of course in my mind they are the ones who should judge and have a say in how we should proceed with buildings like these.

@@Simproved yeah, I see what you are saying. But the unfortunate reality is that continuing to allow these things to have that power over us is perpetuating the problem rather than solving it.

@@caleightilson8030 I think it depends on the circumstance. Plantations were probably manually built by black slaves and they worked hard in maintaining those properties. They should continue to be preserved and that part of history must be remembered. If we're talking statues that were built to honor slave owners who rightfully lost a war, I say that is an example of preserving hate. What there should be are statues of people, white and black who had a hand in liberating slaves and protesting for equal rights. I am a poc but I do feel everyone is entitled to have and speak their opinions, so I gave mine.

@@Vanessa-xx3yz oh no I definitely agree that statues that honor slave owners and Confederate soldiers should not be looked upon as a proud symbol and I think those should definitely be taken down. And I understand why people feel the way they do about plantation houses, I'm referring more to the architectural style than anything else.

Yes I agree. I never could make out where this room is. Maybe it is in the basement, it looks like a basement. But then again, there are lots of plants there? How do they grow without any light? I was just confused so this room got scrapped.

That’s what I thought as well, but when I looked at pictures of it I saw it had windows on the ceiling so I thought maybe it was a separate building almost like a big shed in the back? Or maybe it was like a underground shed but idk how that would make sense. Realistically speaking the room makes no sense for the actual house.

I don't do scary stuff at all, but; I do like this build as a time period theme. I could use this and redecorate it for a southern style plantation build like for a Rhett Butler and Scarlet type theme.

I was particularly excited for this because Coven will probably always be my fav seasons of AHS, not only because I am a fan of witches and wizards and New Orleans but also because I love the female cast for this movie, they all are such strong and awesome women and that's the reason I have seen this seasons twice already. It's probably the house I know best from all your Spoctober videos I have seen today and I think you have again outdone yourself and you did a fantastic job😍😍😍

So cool! I feel like you did capture the feel of the coven ! :D it's so hard to get the lighting in the house because it's quite cool tone/white in the day but warm at night (in the TV show). Also there's a scene in apocalypse where Cordelia revives Myrtle and you can see the supreme bedroom quite well but I think you nailed it! Definitely want to download from the gallery and make all the cast!

Hey Kristie, so happy you like it! Yeah I rewatched some of the episodes and also lots of articles about the production design and screenshots helped me a lot here. In my opinion it is such a clever set design. Creepy houses we have a lot in all the other horror movies about witches, but this one was so light and clean. Just beautiful and smart.

Happy you like it. Yeah, I was totally unaware of the controversy about those homes, But I am German and we have the same issue with Nazi Buildings, I think we tore all of them down at some point,but not absolutely sure. Even though when the architecture is very beautiful and you kind of want to preserve it,... some past is too dark to let them stay.

Omfg it’s so STUNNING! Some neat spooky builds could be the cabin from Until Dawn and the Overlook Hotel (Stanley Hotel) from The Shining. And Hotel Cortez from AHS as well, since we have that Art Deco pack.

All of these are on my suggestion list. The Overlook Hotel is such a classic, I really have to do it at some point, but it is huge...so it will take a lot of time to build.

Hey, Fry! Um you "think" you recreated the Coven house "ok"??? You NAILED it! I recognized it right away! I love it. Where I live we have Antebellum homes. My grandparents Victorian home was pre Civil War. The kitchen burned down during the war, but the rest of the house was fine. It's now a historical landmark. I think you slayed this one! I'm out of town visiting my Momma, but I've been watching videos after she goes to bed. I wanted to clarify that my grandparents weren't slave owners. My grandma grew up in the house that is a landmark. I LOVED being a kid playing in that house, it even had a parlor! There is a section of town where I live with very old homes that luckily haven't been gentrified. Enough of that, are you watching AHS 1984? It is awesome! There is the MOST AMAZING kill in one episode, I haven't been this impressed in a long time.

Hope you make sure, they are ok with it and that you yourself are ok with horror. Some seasons and some scenes are so incredibly guresome and scary. I think for a firsttimer they can be a bit too much. For me it is like a little happening and I watch new episodes together with my friends :D

Some of them are really disturbing. I'm a nurse and seen some pretty gruesome stuff in real life but I have to look away sometimes, plus the storylines are very dark! Coven is probably one of the least scary though!

Hey! Great video, thanks for sharing. One of my fav seasons of AHS! You did awesome! I have an idea\suggestion for a cool semi challenging and season appropriate spooky build, its from a film called 'The Woman in Black' its a very haunting and abandoned estate called Eel Marsh House on a lonely peninsula that is cut off by the tide shrouded in the English fog. Its such a beautiful home with a cemetery and haunting landscape in my opinion and I'd love to see your interpretation! Just a fun Halloween themed idea lol, have a wonderful day!

@@Simproved Yess, i lived in NOLA last year for 3 month, it's called work and travel program for student that can work and travel in the state for several months. Its was a really cool experiences and i chose to go to NOLA because of spooky things and vibes ofcourse! all the voodoo shop, witchcrafts, huanted houses, vampire history all these made me love NOLA. I even got a chance to take a graduation photos in cemetery! (i can show you, if you wanted to see them hehe :D) thats not cool for other ppl but not for me hahaha YOU HAVE TO VISIT NOLA IT IS A MUST i can assure you will love this place!

I just discoverd the most random thing 😂 Seems like EVERY AHS season could be placed with a expansion pack of The Sims 3: *Murder House:* The Sims 3: Basic Game ofcourse *Asylum:* The Sims 3: Seasons, because of the aliens and the big storm *Coven:* The Sims 3: Supernatural, has witches *Freakshow:* The Sims 3: Showtime, because of the freakshow's performances *Hotel:* The Sims 3: Late Night, there's vampires, buildings that litteraly look like the Hotel Cortez and celebrities (Gaga ofcourse!) *Roanoke:* The Sims 3: Pets, because of the farm vibe *Cult:* University Life, there's some political stuff in this expansion pack *Apocalypse:* Into the Future, because there's time traveling and the player's got to make the future world either distroyed or fixed *1984:* OK, i know this one actually isn't an expansion pack but this must be the 'The Sims 3: 70's, 80's & 90's' one right? *AHS10:* Season 10 will be water themed, sea, sea monsters, mermaids... this will be the expansion pack 'The Sims 3: Island Paradise'
