A bit of a 'jump/cut' from being in Mrs. Peignoir's room - then suddenly were Basil is ruffling hair and pretending to have just woken up in his bedroom ! Very odd 🤔 I need to have a look at the CD copy and see if it was cut for (maybe) breaching YT rules or similar..?

@@stewedfishproductions7959 I noticed that as well, but I'm quite sure Connor must have done it himself for copyright reasons or possibly there was a glitch during the upload. If you look at 32:07, his head moves slightly to one side and his facial expression changes in accordance with the jump/cut.

The writing was insanely good. About 5 or 6 stories running in each episode that intertwined increasingly, and eventually coming together at the end of the show. Almost a crime that only 12 episodes were ever made. An undisputed British masterpiece.
@Varksterable

Better 12 episodes of near perfection than 24 episodes, the last half of which are just rubbish filler or cash-ins. I doubt _anyone_ could keep this standard of writing and performance up for long. In fact, didn't Cleese and Booth's marriage pretty much break up as a result of the pressure of writing those 12 episodes?

It’s crazy that when this first aired, and was subsequently made for American TV, they completely ruined the format and changed the show based on the belief that Americans wouldn’t ‘get it’, and yet here we are in 2023 and a young American lad such as yourself is laughing riotously at it. Just goes to show that funny is funny no matter what. Well done lad, keep up the good work.
