Another nice interview video Earn!. I think your English is improving a lot. Even though I lived in the US for over 30 years as an Asian, I don't have the courage like you to speak with western people in public. To be filmed on KZbin is absolutely out of the question for me!😅 I never feel fit in while living in the US. I totally understand that I was treated differently in western society, but people over there don't have the right to point it out for me sometimes. Now that I have retired here in Bangkok this year. It is the best choice I ever made. I still look different here and I don't speak much Thai, but nobody really pays attention. Nobody really cares where I'm from or what I look like. Everybody is minding their own business. As long as I don't bother or annoy others I'll be perfectly safe here. That's the beauty of staying here in Thailand for me! This was my main decision why I wanted to move to Thailand. Being a Chinese born and raised in Korea wasn't easy either. When I was little the local Korean kids were throwing rocks at me and my brothers when they found out that we were Chinese, and told us to move back to China! I have moved back to Korea a couple of times around my early age, I didn't have good experience. I was often told by locals that " Oh, you are not Korean?!" Even though i look like them and speak perfect Korean. When they found out that I'm not Korean. I get treated differently. So, I swear to myself that I will never live or retire in Korea. I will only visit from time to time only because I still have my family and relatives there. Oh, I think I said too much. Since I have too much time after I retire😅😂

Nice video Earn, from everything I’ve seen Thailand is better than the Phillipines in every way except speaking English. When I weight the benefits I would choose Thailand and buy one of those hand held translator’s as well as try to learn the language, plus it would be nice to eventually find a girlfriend/wife that we could teach each other to speak our different languages.

I have been trying to choose between the two countries. Thailand seems to look better and better. Hope to meet a wonderful girl and laugh and raise kids. Thailand sounds so much more affordable and awesome. I will have to decide soon.

Thailand is a much nicer place to live for many reasons, Bangkok better than Manila. Filipinas are great partners are much easier to engage in conversations and the conversation is more meaningful. I'll keep bouncing back and forth.

Watch out for foreigners expats coming from the Philippines. They tend to be extremely under capitalized which is why they chose PHI over Thai; and not really prepared for life in SEA; they are still hopelessly tied to USA politics and come with lots of baggage. Philippines or Thailand? Please! Thai of course.

I am normally perfectly fine with the farang tax, as long as it is not crazy greedy. A little extra off the top is likely not going to impact 99.9% of us and it gives an incentive for them putting up with our lack of knowledge, as well as the few farangs who act like fools. That said, there are certainly a few that go well beyond a small "skin tax" and all you can do is laugh while walking away. Some people are just greedy, happens all over the world and it is nothing to get upset about.
