Hello Venus debuted under both Fantagio and Pledis. Pledis did most of the things, due to them being the "bigger" entertainment. Pledis also worked with the innocent image. Only when the group was put completely under Fantagio, they started doing "sexier" concepts... I do believe they would've started earlier, had pledis not put their foot in.

idols debuted a lot older back than too. 16-18 was considered risky to the public to have suggestive concepts in 2013. Now freaking 13-15 year olds debut every other month. Ok so Hellovenus looked like a toxic environment, no wonder she improved after they disbanded. From the girls teasing her about secretly snacking, to the other girls getting to eat whatever except her, to the weird interviews where they told fans to re-watch the their stages and look closely at Seo's body, to them giving her DIET PILLS right after eating. She just did what her unnies instructed being the new kid in the group.

i dont think so. i know this comment's old but i think the whole group was brainwashed by fantagio, all the members struggled with body image but seoyoung was given more focus, her natural body shape being praised by fantagio itself in articles and promotions (also explains alice's weird reminder to see her body in wiggle wiggle, since those interviews are all scripted im sure fantagio instructed her to say it), her "thighs+hips+butt" combo being sold as her main thing despite my girl being a vocalist. the hammer video in itself was... weird; i saw this SAME discussion on korean forums and now on non-korean media and while the non-korean media talked about how rude it was for them to tease her for her eating habits, koreans said it was a very light teasing and that foreigners shouldn't stick their nose in korean culture, that hellovenus was very real for "playing dirty" to win the game, not pretending to be all buddy-buddy since there apparently if you're younger you'll never get things fair. another thing, EVERYONE took diet pills since it was prolly ordered by the director, your comment says like nara and alice were holding her at gunpoint to take it. plus, the thing i think seals it all, if hellovenus was such a toxic environment, why do they keep posting about hanging out with each other, keep mentioning each other, commenting on each other's posts after they disbanded..? Could you do Loona’s Heejin? Her journey in becoming really healthy and fit, which can also be seen by her incredible improvement in dancing, has been really inspiring. From saying she’d rather starve than do fitness at the age of 17, to working out all the time and getting noticeable abs while also being interested in eating vegan, her growth has been incredible. I would really love to see a video that shows that❤

Seoyoung is one of my favourite idols. About once a year for the past 4, she likes my Instagram comments I left years ago because she reads what everyone was saying, and likes positive messages. You should do a video on Wonyoung from IVE, she’s reached a point with her weight that’s extremely alarming. While some fans like to say that she’s still developing and that’s why she’s so skinny. At this point that can’t be the case with how frail and small she has become. Shes 18 now and ever since PD48 shes continued to lose weight at an insane rate. i developed an eating disorder around her age when I was 17 and I looked the same way she is currently physically. And if I didn’t get sent away to an inpatient facility for help I would have dropped dead. And so, it worries me even more seeing Wonyoung like this with taking into consideration her hectic schedule as an Idol. I honestly wish she was put onto hiatus for a bit to take care of herself before it’s too late like how WM did for Jine (formerly Oh My Girl).

YES finally a video about my ultimate bias!!! seoyoung was always so talented and gorgeous at any weight, i hope some people will discover her and become fans because of this video. not gonna lie, i really loved when she put on some weight in 2015 because it looked beautiful on her and it's so rare to see a female idol with more weight on them who isn't forced to cover it up. but if she wanted to lose weight, i'm glad she was able to do it. i hope she releases music again some day!

It's so gross how they were used by their company :( fans area always blind till it's too late. Same thing with Stellar, the company was starving them so they could cry on tv shows to get sympathy. Stellar was suffering so much they begged for fans and money and fans helped prolong that misery by giving money to the company exploiting them.

Due to her being the newest it girl, she’s in the spotlight more often than not compared to her members. Too, I sincerely believe that her most recent and most worrisome weight loss is due to stress, criticism that she’s been getting for every little thing, and the fact that k-netzs are continuously praising her for her “skinny body” and body proportions. Any girl of her age would feel pressured to always remain pretty and skinny, even though she would always be considered pretty regardless.

She looked naturally skinny when she was a teen and then lost her facial baby fat which is to be expected and maybe a couple pounds of overall body fat giving her a very lean figure. She still had muscle mass tho despite probably being underweight so was most likely of okay health overall at least. Recently tho she lost that too which is a good sign of not having enough food due to whatever reasons. I think the more people "defend" her and praise her body as it is right now, the more it will get ingrained that this is right for her, regardless of what her eating habits or health actually is. On videos where she is most likely to see comments like their own videos I would never say anything to point out her weight specifically but even online and on tiktok, I am careful to try to use the phrase being healthy rather than "too skinny" because even though she is likely underweight, that isn't the important thing is, health is.

@@evieb8187 I understand, but her body lacks muscle mass and fat meaning that she is not losing weight in a healthy way and her body is very unhealthy rn, because of her young age it could cause alot of problems ranging from her menstrual cycle to mental health and wellbeing. From what ive seen everyone is currently praising her weight loss and is claiming it is because she is naturally skinny, which is only going to support her unhealthy weight. Yes, she is naturally skinny, but her weight rn is not natural. Her weight when she first debuted in izone was her most healthy weight, you can clearly see muscle definition and she has more energy, her moves also look more energetic when u watch fancies from back then. I think a video would help bring awareness to how unhealthy her weight is right now and will encourage more fans to support won young to get the right support to gain weight and help her overcome why she is losing weight to an unhealthy extent for example helping her overcome stress or a possible ED.

I don't remember exactly, but HelloVenus started as a collaporation girl group between Fantiago and Pledis(?...I'm not sure if I remembered that correctly). They had a good start and got some attention for their vocals, but than the other company backout of the contract and the members of that company had to leave the group (THE main vocal had to leave). Fantiago tried to fix the issue... but failed. I don't say the members were bad singers (clearly not), but the group was missing structure and especially a strong main vocal... and than they jump on the sexy trend and actually got a lot of attention for wiggle wiggle... but this was only a short-time fix... I'm glad Seoyoung is good now and does what she loves!!!

They weren’t given the right tools back then. For the most part, I think companies are smarter now, but the biggest issue is time. Weight is a numbers and metabolism game. How many calories your burn - the food you eat. The yo-yo is the worst because it can destroy your standard metabolism burn. All the idols seems to get their weight lower after they leave the business. Much more time on their hands to exercise properly.

Sistar and Girls Day are the only sexy groups I can think of where it wasn't creepy and where all the girls were adults and fully enjoying the concept. The music was just as important to those groups image as the visuals. Ofc you won’t look the same as an adult as you did as a child but the thing is she has lost so much weight when she was already thin to begin with to the point where she’s visibly very underweight. Yujin in comparison is the same height as her but isn’t as underweight, ik everyone bodies are different but with wonyoung it is a bit concerning not to mention the amount of pressure she must feel in order to maintain that appearance. It’s possible that with her very hectic personal schedules plus being an active idol could’ve contributed to the weight loss, however I find it really weird how her body to some is considered “the standard” when very few even look like her naturally herself included…
