Story one: I would have still reported it to the police. First off, the man blatantly assaulted you. But most importantly they can still be charged for theft of the full price of the Playstation 5, regardless of them taking the gag gift! What they actually made off with doesnt matter compared to the value of what they thought they were stealing. Having them learn it court while looking like idiots is just icing on the karma cake!

Story 1: Okay, there is no way i would've ever let this slide. First of all, the empty PS5 box being full of charcoal as a gag gift is hilarious, and those people absolutely deserved it, but the Karen and Kevin here were jerks in the highest degree. Who cares if he may or may not have bought the last one, you dont confront them in the parking lot and you certainly dont assault and rob them. This is a big reason why people carry "personl protection" on them. I still would've called the cops here. Like i said, they assaulted and robbed the OP. Why let that slide, gag gift or not? Story 2: While this doesnt really sound like a "double-life", since he was divorced and re-married, but not telling the OP anything was pretty low and i can understand why the OP is very hurt here. Not sure what the OP can do here really.... take everything day by day, i suppose. Story 3: Really sounds like this manager is actively trying to sabotage everyone that works under her. If the higher-ups or HR doesn't do anything about it, then i say threaten go on strike or do a mass walk-out. If either happens, maybe then the higher-ups will do something here. Managers like this suck and are a big reason why employees quit. Story 4: OP has no reason to feel bad at all here. Whether or not Lisa was sick here... and something tells me she may not really be sick here... but the OP has no obligation to do her job here. If Lisa really was, maybe she could've said something like "Hey, im not really feeling well, could you help me out here?" or something. OP definitely needs to mellow out here. Story 5: No way is the OP a jerk here. They didnt help you out, so why should you help them? You can reap what you sow here. Its also smart to not let them drive, especially for insurance reasons. Funny how they can't handle the same situation. OP needs to stay very strong and firm here. Dont listen to their BS.... and definitely stop caving in here. You can be sure that it'll only be a matter of time before they do something to mess up your car. Story 6: Yeah it sounds like the bf here is pretty lazy here. People that wait around like this last-second for Christmas gifts generally set themselves up for failure here. Its one thing if you order something a month or so in advance and they get caught up in the mail or something, but waiting last-minute...... what do you expect really?

PS5 story: I still would have called the police for the assault. Once OP was shoved they turned from beggars to criminals. In the state I live in, first offense stealing $400 is a misdemeanor. However that assault is a felony. If they were willing to do commit an assault to OP, they’ll do it again. I can only imagine when their kid opens the present Christmas morning. Why did I get coal? So, I ordered a ps5 to a trailer park office that's right down the road - they allow boxes to be brought into their laundry room and they have surveillance. They also allow nearby neighbors to do this with bigger or more expensive items. Much to my surprise, it wasn't a drop-off package - Amazon (I know, bad me for buying from them) had actually required signature upon delivery! So I was quite happy to be called down the road one day to collect. The delivery guy was happy too, since he was able to stop for a smoke break without taking up and actual break (since he was awaiting specific delivery instructions)

Don't know where the person in story 3 comes from, but in my country adjustments to the schedule have to be made at least 4 days in advance, less is only possible if you give permission, otherwise its illegal.

To call the father the jerk in story two is really a stretch... the parents have been divorced for 15 years... he moved on from his ex... just because the mother didn't doesn't mean he is obliged to do so as well and since he saw his daughter just a few times a year and It didn't seem like there was much contact outside of those occasions, I get why he doesn't want to bring drama into those rare moments... just because op feels sad for being oblivious to the thought he might have a stable life somewhere doesn't make him the ah...
