I know this video is a few years old but adding a little copper wire to the bluetooth antenna will get rid of the hiss. Cool vid!

What size plastic ammo box should I get for two 6.5 1/2 marine speakers ?

Is it necessary to use a power adapter inside the box for a 12v Lithium battery recharge ?
@JuliansRandomProject4 ай бұрын
No power adapter needed if your battery voltage matches what your Audio Amp and Bluetooth board need. Check the manufacture's specs of the board you choose. Godspeed!

@@JuliansRandomProject My amp stays between 15 and 36 volts my battery is 26,8 volts.

Maybe already suggested but have you considered adding a port for the bass?

Cool idea! What was that cushion material you used at 7:38? Just curious.
@JuliansRandomProject8 жыл бұрын
ah, just some foam sealant for home door sills with adhesive back (home depot?) Had it kicking around the garage.

Are you sure it's okay to bridge the outputs of the TDA7492P? I see no mention of that configuration in the datasheet.. Have you checked to see if it gets hot?
@JuliansRandomProject8 жыл бұрын
Nope, not sure :) They're pretty cheap, hadn't read the datasheet to check. I'll play it at volume for a while and check the temps. Bet it'll be fine
@jeremymason33897 жыл бұрын
I was curious about the bridging also. Have you had any issues or tested just running off the left or right side for better sound quality?
@JuliansRandomProject7 жыл бұрын
Got mixed mono by bridging, no issues to date. Haven't tested left or right separately for better quality sound. I've been using it in the garage and it's performing very well. The slight hum from the voltage converter seems to be drowned out when music is playing.

Thanks for the video, I was really lost on how to build a 12v lower pack. eBay has these 18650 holders, where you just slide them in, and it automatically connects them together. Do you think I should solder my own packs instead? I've tried soldering 18650's before and it's a real pain in the ass.
@JuliansRandomProject6 жыл бұрын
Soldering them is a pain, I agree. If I was going to do this again I'd use LifePo4 in the 18650 form factor and buy holders Jehu Garcia has been experimenting with lately kzbin.info/www/bejne/oIW9XmhobrN2haM Good luck!

A suggestion use a linear power supply for the device in stead of a switching power supply, that should eliminate that hiss sound.

It’s not SODDERING, there’s an “L” in it, it’s SOLDER!

LOL! In my career I've been trained and certified to solder multi-layered, microscopic, surface mount components for use in aviation and space bound equipment. I assure you, I'm pronouncing it correctly. ;)

JuliansRandomProject I’m an electrical fitter and I’ve soldered tonnes of connectors, there’s definitely an L in it. You guys can’t pronounce aluminium correctly either
