I just got my first konjak from the guy I buy my carnivores plants from a few days ago and it's very exciting. I can't wait to see it in a few years, hopefully when it blooms.

I've been working on the amorphophallus kognac in my yard for 20+ years. I've been kind of learning as I went along. Thanks for the video. Very enlightening.

The start of this video really made me laugh! I just love your channel Bill. I learn so much from you and I love your passion for plants. It's infectious. You grow plants I have never heard of and because of you I purchased my first Lithops. My husband is a cameraman and editor here in the uk so I know how much work goes into making your videos. So I just wanted to let you know how much I enjoy them. Happy growing xxx

Hi, Bill. We haven't seen an update of your garden in a long time. I'd love to see how it looks in the winter with the snow.

I new to all of this. Don't know much about plants, but am really wanting to get into it. I looked up the plant and it's a beautiful one! "Devil's Tongue" is the nickname? Badass. :D I like spiders too!
@PlantzNThings9 жыл бұрын
+TheRunnerOnFootDF Gaming if you can find some bulbs of this plant I recommend giving them a try... they are really interesting to grow. even if they never bloom the leaves are very impressive. On the spiders thing...lol.. Somebody has to like them... I don't like killing them but I don't want them on me...lol.. I used to have a friend that collected spiders... OMG it was terrifying to walk into the spider room... but I had to look.. the goliath Bird eating spiders were pretty cool.

I have one, and it's made a big side-bulb with its own leaf, as well as lots of babies :) Hope to store it dry once the main leaf dies down, and then split the side-bulb from the main bulb, at least. Think I'll try to leave most of the babies connected, see what happens :)
@ninetofive58643 жыл бұрын
Hi there. Do you dry it out in Winter? As my three are doing really good the leaves are still green.
@PlantzNThings3 жыл бұрын
I do let mine go dry all winter... if I had the space and light over the winter months I wouldn't force them dormant.
@cosmic999 жыл бұрын
I would love one, live in Vancouver bc so it would do great.

Bill, I hate spiders, too. So you're not alone :) Unfortunately, I have no one to dispose of them for me, which means panic attacks and screaming every time I see one of these terrifying creatures in my appartment :)

+doxepine LOL.. It's awesome i'm not the only one... they give me the creeps
@user-hu7ym1ex1o5 жыл бұрын
PlantzNThings how do you know when to stop watering for the upcoming dormancy?
@PlantzNThings5 жыл бұрын
I usually water until the leaves start to yellow.... when I bring them inside I usually cut the water as well... watering only if the plant is completely dry and doesn't seem to want to go to sleep... some types of amorphs don't ever want to dry out completely... but the konjac can dry out
