New edition of "The Developmental Psychology of the Black Child": www.realityspeaksbookstore.com...
***This text has been fortified - formatted with a simplified expanded table of contents beginning each chapter, strengthened and updated with charts and illustrations, fitted with subject and name indexes, an expanded bibliography, revised endnotes and improved typography for a user-friendly presentation and seamless utilization. The original manuscript numbered over 500 typed pages of which 350 were used. In reviewing the full original work we found certain unused sections could be reworked and re-presented in a future work. Such areas dealing with the historical black family, courtship and parental planning were left out due to at least financial constraints give the time. Black access to the publishing industry was censored and personal computing much in its infancy or not available. - SNP (Editor)

My husband watch Dr. Wilson videos 12 years ago and it would make me angry (righteous rage) and I had to stop listening, working as an educator in Cosmetology field was extremely conflicting. We think White. Since covid I have fully opened my heart to make him a part of my daily listening. Thank God our son is in a African Centered school. I literally feel his words as he speaks. I am learning to be African again.

I'm just starting to listen to Brother Amos because I had never heard of him before and I know why now. This teaching is showing us as black people we need to be separated from whites and get our power back and learn to love each other again before we can unite with anyone else.

Separate residentially, at least; except in those cases where you have to work in areas almost exclusively controlled by non-Afrikans (e.g., on Wall Street in NY). We DO need some ppl to be intimately involved with the system (especially in finance and politics) so we can expand our economic reach and power and develop wealth (a power base or resource). The main thing is to think of ourselves as a nation or tribe the way the "Jews" do; and to have areas where we can form a communal base. Cities and areas where Blacks predominate are excellent prospects for this.

Dcwashington president, that's the reason why I'm verry concerned and very discourage about the future of black people. I don't see any serious sign and desire from our part to transform our situation, and to rise up as a powerful people. We can say so, because all the african countries today are still using a curriculum left by their respective former colonial ruler.

@@neglakay3706 The harsh reality is black power ideology and Afrocentrism will probably never be a mass popular movement; however, the fortunate thing is, it doesn't have to be. You don't need the majority of black people to be conscious to transform black society. By gaining control of, and establishing, vital black institutions and Afrikanizing them we can become the leadership group within the culture. The key institutions we need to develop/control are an economy, political institutions (e.g., think tanks, foundations, PACs, parties, etc.), financial system (fitted to a developing economy as ours are), media, and educational system, among others. Get control of vital institutions and the other stuff takes care of itself.

There are a number of reasons: 1. The Afrocentric community took a while to really promote Amos Wilson. In fact, the whole reason I decided to start this channel was because I saw there was hardly any Amos Wilson lectures available on KZbin. 2. In general we have a difficult time recognizing real intellectual talent and brilliance. In recent years, though, Amos Wilson's popularity has steadily risen, both in the "conscious community" and among academicians specializing in black psychology. 3. A large percentage of Amos Wilson's publications were release AFTER his death, so people didn't get the chance to really delve deep into his work and gain a greater appreciation for what he had to offer. With the release of more and more work, expect to see his popularity continue to increase.

@@AfricanThinker86 Absolutely and thank you very much for these lectures. There is also the simple law of attraction. When the student is ready the master appears. If he is coming up just now it's because as a community we were not really ready to hear what he said. I personally came across his videos several times in the past 4 years and never clicked on them, now that I am ready to understand and use this knowledge properly, it came to me as a gift from the ancestors. Let me then thank the ancestor Amos Wilson for his light, we are going to share it and popularize it all over whenever we get the chance to. Ashé

Oil that no breath ruffles, calm oil on the athelete’s flank, on the flanks of the Prince of Mali delights of the mind, the glinting of red gold against your watered skin The World is Hell as man shows it; The creatures are of steel; To live is of superior wit, To fail is thus to feel. No smile is genuine my friend, It’s all a pleasing lie; Be ever ready to defend Or shape your mind to die Naked woman, black woman, I sing your beauty that passes, the form that I fix in the Eternal, Before jealous fate turn you to ashes to feed the roots of life. #thedevelopmentalpsychologyoftheblackchild I prostrate myself for all women; I cry out to them: arise, mother of the person! Leave your children a long safer route to a better future! To all men across; arise, fathers of the person! Create the world in which it will be no crime to be your children! The Black Mother Where can I find love that never changes Smiles that are true and always just the same, Caring not how the fierce tempest rages, Willing ever to shield my honored name? This I find at home, only with Mother, Who cares for me with patient tenderness; She from every human pain would rather Save me, and drink the dregs of bitterness. #inkululeko #amandla #alutacontinua #medase #asantesana BLACKMAN What Is In Thy Bosom? Depends on what you mean by support. If by support you mean we accept progressive ideologies around gender, then no. We are realists and afrocentrists, not "progressives" or "liberals." You can have genuine gender identity issues, or gender dysphoria, but you can't change your gender or sex from an Afrocentric point-of-view. We don't subscribe to that thinking.

An absolutely brilliant man,I have to place Amos Wilson even on a plateau above even my most admired and respected heroes when it comes to defining our well rounded plight here in three D lock down,I haven't heard before from anyone this man's true definition of our being still a servant people and look everywhere I will An cannot fathom it being any other way, anyone sees it differently then only confirms what he says about being educated to be stupid!!!

It's a major problem even now in the era of BLM. We still got "intellectuals" and other professionals focusing primarily on other people's problems and trying to push forward other agendas. We seriously lack clarity of goals and purpose.
