I second that. The Amped series is a great line but it needs an update/upgrade, not just for the old amps. Like be able to handle two mono guitar inputs, IR scrolling ability with the arrow keys, more optimal CPU usage.

I just got a 5150 Steath 50w, and Im still buying this asap. I also have the mercuriall stealth sim. And if were talkjng other 5150s, I own pretty much every single 5150 sim Ive found before. I also have an iconic head, and want to get a 1992 blockletter head.

What is the difference between the Blackout and Blockletter 5555, 6666, and 5034? Which one is better suited for modern metal, djent, etc.?

Block Letter is the "raw" sounding one - likely closest to a Recto kind of a sound if that makes sense. The 5555 and 6666 are quite similar which is why they're in the same plugin. 6666 has more gain but less noise to it while 5555 is a tad more compressed with a clear transient still. 5034 was our very first amp sim which sounds amazing but it's the first one so even though it's Vorna-fied it doesn't have all the advancements of our current amp sim plugins. Blackout naturally has the biggest low end and is a bit scooped - but when paired with the Reflex cabs that balances out and the end result is actually quite neutral. Honestly you can do modern metal and djent really well with all of these. I would likely choose Blackout on the 2nd channel or Block Letter on the highest gain channel. Blackout is the most modern sounding one.

Good question! Reflex captures may not be directly compatible with the current MIKKO2 plugin so it might mean that it needs to be a separate plugin. Then again with it being a separate thing there's an opportunity to do things that you can only do with Reflex and that's something I'm geeking over right now......... :O

Mikko, you need to release amp sim based on all variant of 5150. IIRC, you haven't made amped version of EVH 5150 ii 6L6 and EL34, EVH iconic EL34 version. And lastly 6505+. Then be done with it. I think there is enough 5150 amp sim in this world. Time to move on to different amp. JVM410 or Amplified Nation for example.

Thanks for asking about it Trey - we've done a few amps in this style now, and we wouldn't have released them if they sounded the same. 5034 has a lot more grunt to it, it's voiced to be more in line with British amps to pair with the EL34 power tubes. 5151 is based on the original version of the amp, it's raw and tight and basically the sound of 00s metal. Block Letter was an expansion of that 5151 amp (though based on a different IRL example). Blackout is juiced-up - way more gain, more aggression. ICON is the modern take on that classic sound, it's sort of trying to recreate it but also expand on it. Personally, Block Letter is my favourite. -Kai

Oh did we really need another 5150 plugin. How about model something more intersting and different. Fryette, Wizard, Splawn, Two Rock, Soldano. Lots of options of amps out there which we really don't have any good simulations for.

The 5150 is my favorite amp. I own 5153 Stealth and a 5150 iconic and I'm looking at getting a block letter 1992, And I've boughten this plug-in and I still agree. I love the fact that a unique 5150 but man I have quite a bit of them
