As some others have pointed out, there are quite some mistakes. The churches shown are from other cities. Red light district is not known for chique establishments (thought that’s what they said if I recall correctly). They mixed Nieuwmarkt and the flower market together (2 different locations), stroopwafel can be caramel flavoured but the original isn’t. Girl with the pearl can be found in The Hague (although at the time of writing it is temporarily in Rijksmuseum as an exchange) and Starry night is in New York. Wooden shoes origin is more tied to farmers than workers (as is their current use).

Hey Jo, as per the Met Office, Amsterdam in January will be chilly with average temperatures around 5 °C and around 10-11 days of snowfall. We'd suggest checking the updated weather predictions a week before you visit.

I live near Amsterdam and it hardly snows here. Like twice a year or so. And since it hardly snowss here the municipality doesn't deal with it adequately and it gets a slippery muggy mess in no time. No idea why they mention snow as a reason to visit in this video. Otherwise great country that's worth a visit!
