My dad was are homeschool teacher for us nine kids. He has three full time jobs he work for the highway department 7-3 then 3-7 he would homeschool us then a full time fire chief of the town. He would do all the cooking and baking for us kids and my mom has a full time job of being head nurse in the emergency room and ICU nurse. All the girls would take over the cooking and baking when we hit the age of 13 year old. Our grandma would teach all the girls how to cook and bake our family recipes we learn to bake and cook our Mennonite recipes and meals. I homeschool our four kids and I did all the cooking and baking and cleaning. I love cooking and baking for my family.

Well, I'm one of those mamas! I homeschool and take care of the home and for some dumb reason, I make meals from scratch every evening. Do I enjoy it? No! That's why I watch videos like this every day, because I had fallen into a rut of making the same 5 or 6 meals. I don't even do my cooking in the morning, I slog through the meal prep at 5 or 6. I want to get better at make ahead meals and free up my evenings. Thank you for pointing this out because I just thought that's how it had to be! Now I just need to get motivated to do bulk cooking earlier in the day. Thanks for all your wisdom and inspiration Amy!! You are a real blessing ❤

I was self employed and was homeschooling my kids and kept the house clean and cooked every night. I scheduled everything out. Our school began at 7:30 in the morning and went to 11:30 then they did any seat work that needed to be done. I would have chores for them to do and myself. I would have dinner on the table by 5:30. We had co-ops on Tuesday afternoons, park days on Fridays. It worked for us.

I did that as a single mom for 5 years. Cooking from scratch everyday. Working 2 jobs and going to College for Nursing, no help. I had 5 children at that time. Four were school aged. Only thing 2 were homeschooled, 1 was tutored due to going through brain cancer treatment. One did go to school and the youngest was a toddler, too young for school. I did do all the baking for the week on Sundays a lot as I loved sweets. I ended up with a total of 8 children and continued to cook everyday. Love all your recipies.

I am a homeschool mom of four. Two of my kiddos are special needs. I make all three meals a day fresh. My husband works overnights and at times I have had to work outside the home and we just work it out between the two of us if need be. My kids are much older now so they cook from fresh themselves including my special needs kids. It is vital life skill for all of them. It can be done just requires planning.

I work full-time, have one child still home, others are grown but come by occasionally, and 3 senior parents nearby that I sometimes cook and bake for… and I am always thankful when I’m motivated to prep meals ahead. My gran (10 kids post war era, no freezer at that time), did serve fresh food every evening, but they had this little local grocer who wasn't too expensive right at the corner. A lot, a *lot* of potatoes, vegetables and a meat of some kind (mostly cutlets, steak, chicken, things like that).

I am a full time CFO for our business who works remotely from home while my husband is gone 12 - 16 hours a day being the CEO. I home school five little girls ages 5 - 11 and I also make food from scratch all three meals every single day for our girls then typically a fourth meal for my husband's dinner once he gets home so he gets a hot meal plus he has different dietary requirements than our girls. It is not easy or fun and takes a lot of work and other things suffer...not getting all the garden produce preserved, yard work stays undone, deep cleaning on our home is behind, baskets of clean clothing sits needing fluffed and hung. However, I still have more little kids than big kids. I figure it will get easier the bigger they get.

Good morning. When you talked about all of those cups of cereal I thought for sure you're going to go for your big mama bowl as Jamerrill would say. Have you tried the apple cider slushie ice, can't remember which one it is, that you have the machine for I know that in the prior years you thought that that was really good as well. I know that I was purchasing my Sam's order for the month and things that I used to pay $4 for were $5 for last month and $6 this month so I know prices are only going up. I know that it only a dollar, but a dollar is a lot, so prices are still rising I. Did the buttermilk make a difference? I usually use milk & vinegar, when a recipe calls for buttermilk. I hope you have a terrific Tuesday and I will see you tomorrow
