the soft frosted sugar cookies are something i make for holiday gifts and we call them sour cream cookies and we change them up from season to season normal in the spring or even a little lemon and fall spices in fall we also like to do cranberry and orange around christmas but they always turn out to be the star of the plate. I was looking for your chocolate chip pumpkin muffin recipe for dessert today. But when I saw how much sugar and oil it required (didn't have enough of either), I reverted back to a banana/pumpkin bread recipe I copied from a book 15yrs ago called "Better Than Peanut Butter & Jelly: Quick Vegetarian Meals Your Kids Will Love!". My youngest had a dairy allergy as a kid (she's 18 now 😁), so I had to find recipes that didn't require milk or butter. I was able to double the recipe using applesauce, maple syrup and chocolate chunks (and I added a few drops of maple stevia extract for more sweetness). Once I get the ingredients I need, I'll make the chocolate chip pumpkin muffins the right way! 😁👍

Cream of Tarter is in a Snickerdoodle recipe I make. I think it’s by Gold Metal flour if your family likes cinnamon. They are scrumptious. I even changed the recipe and did lemon-doodles. Not sure if that’s a thing or I made it up. Embellished is a better word. Those were super yummy if like me, you have a Lemmon obsession. Pumpkin is great for dogs and often used in dog treats or dog bone recipes. There are a ton of recipes out there. Could be a cool project you do with the kiddos for Christmas presents for the dogs.

Good morning. Pumpkin is great for fall, yum. I bet if you could make pumpkin donuts and they would be delicious as well. I would say any one of those is for a family 4-6, you made it large family by making a variety of baked goods. FYI..the sugar cookies you made are much softer than the cutout cookies. Try pumpkin mac and cheese! You can use one recipe and and 1:1 substitute dairy free milk and cheese in one. You will not regret it, it's soooo good.

With respect: I know many people take pride in not measuring or think they don’t have time but that is not the place to be creative as a baker. Baking is a science and precision matters.

@@TiffanyT12 Depends on what the extra ingredients are. Pecans, fine, chocolate chips, great. Extra salt, baking soda or baking powder is a no. Extra ingredients that will change your level of moisture or not enough or too much eggs, that can spell disaster for a recipe. Well….not a disaster, but it can mess it up and then it’s only fit for the trash. I for one hate, hate, hate to waste ingredients…not to mention my time!
