I'm a Mennonite I married a Amish. Amish and Mennonite have the same way of cooking and baking. My four kids are half Mennonite and half Amish. I have four Amish cook books and four old Mennonite cook books that my grandma passed down to me on my wedding day.

You should use that instant pot to boil your eggs in. Bring it up to pressure for 5 minutes let it release for 5 minutes then 5 minutes and a cool water bath the shells will just slide off

I know I've mentioned it before but I prefer peeling potatos with a knife. I cut them up in my hand as well. I cut boiled eggs in my hand too. Actually I cut most stuff in my hand. I rarely use my cutting boards for cutting unless it's something with a hard skin or rind.

I use my peeler for everything including apples. Knife for cutting. Apple cutter for apples - it cuts the core as it cuts the apple into pieces. Now that it's autumn, everyone's getting prepared for the next season of what we eat ... ever notice that each season we eat differently? Lighter in summer, heavier in winter ... LOL ... Have a great day Amy & family - do well & stay in good health.

I grew up peeling with a peeler and not a knife but I could see using a knife would be quicker. There is something in me that I must clean my air fryer every time.....I just can't not clean it after each use. I am sure if I had kids here it would not get cleaned after each use....kids don't think to clean it just like the microwave.

Might be a dumb question, but what makes a recipe Mennonite? Or Amish? Aren’t they just recipes from a cookbook sold by the Mennonites? I mean no disrespect- I have many, many cookbooks that say they’re Cajun. (I’m from south Louisiana.)
