That was brilliant, great to see more progress. Really coming together now. Nice to see the new brake shoes fitted and working. Shame the others got lost but hey ho. Sounded great when it was running. I bet it was a big thrill to go up and down the drive on it! You should have took it in the back garden and tore up the grass like we used to do on the 125T!

Yes, I should have! Less worry about catching it when we get caught!

Nice progress there Dean. A pity you're not quite happy with the forks but I know how you feel. The thought will always be in the back of your mind if they're not absolutely right. And the brake shoes look great! Cheers, Peter.

Taking shape, looks like a nice pair of shoes, one of my first jobs was relining brake shoes, hgv ones, rivets rather than bonded though.

I use a small lightly magnetised screwdriver to put ball bearings into the race - after filling it liberally with grease. The viscosity of the grease creates sufficient surface tension to pull the ball bearing off the tip of the screwdriver. Simple. Very little risk of dropping any. Ride safe.

That's a great tip. Thanks very much. Best wishes, Dean.

Another great job Dean, nice almost 700 subs, your channel is growing right along. Yes, good reasoning there for the lab coat. Always wondered how you stayed so clean. I walk in shop and grease is jumping on my clothes from everywhere!!!
