I'm so sorry to hear this and wish you well. Your tribulations with a brand new Wayfarer, have completely halted our own imminent purchase of a new Wayfarer. These are huge investments to make, and this kind of failure is completely unacceptable.

So nice to have found your channel and really enjoy your videos! Sorry to see the problems you have experienced already. We too are new Wayfarer owners having purchased a 2025 25RW a couple of months ago. We will definitely look forward to your updates. We live in the PNW and have been in a lot of rain with it but have not had water intrusion like you have experienced. Even though we try to get the slide topper cleared of water and debris before bringing the slide in we get a small amount of water on the floor behind the drivers seat that we're able to mop up with a rag. We are scheduled for our first service next week and that is on the list to have the slide wiper checked. I did notice after we bought it that the rubber slide seals had paint overspray on them so they weren't sealing properly when the slide was extended so I was able to clean them off. Love your "Ruby" toad. We have a 2020 Willy's 4 door that we have previously towed with another Class C but unfortunately it's too heavy for this unit so we will have to downsize to something similar. Hoping you get all your issues resolved soon!
@halffasttravelers27022 ай бұрын
We appreciate you following along, and we'll keep you updated on our progress! Thanks for the information on your experiences. We were hopeful the issues we were having weren't due to a fatal design flaw. If the design works, then they can fix it. Fingers crossed...

@ Guess we spoke too soon. After heavy rains and wind last night we went inside the rig this morning and found a puddle on the floor near the kitchen drawers and water dripping out from the ceiling light above the microwave. Everything was closed up with our coach at our home. Not sure where it’s coming from. Nothing mounted on that side of the roof with Coleman Mach AC being the closest. Dealer service scheduled for next week.
@halffasttravelers27022 ай бұрын
Oh my! That is terrible! We're beginning to question the sealing methods they are using for these rooftop mounts. We found out that the running light leak we experienced was a bad seal as well. Aren't they checking these before they leave the factory? We wish you the best of luck with this repair, and would greatly appreciate it if you could let us know how this works out for you. Thank you.

At this time, I would suggest that you take your RV to Red Bay! We had a new Phaeton and on our very first trip we had to go to Red Bay. The first year of owning our MH, we spent close to three months (on 3 different trips) in Red Bay - but we were wanting it perfect! Tiffin will fix everything for you, but you have to be patient! So sorry for this! Getting Tiffin to give you a new RV or going to a different manufacturer doesn’t mean your new one will not have any problems. If at all possible, take it to Red Bay. We were lucky enough that we were retired and could stay with our baby until it was perfect! Tiffin’s motto is job isn’t finished until you are happy! Good luck! Glad to hear that LaMesa has it indoors during the storm or it may have had the ultimate water leakage test. Six hours since you posted the video and a lot has changed on the weather projection, and suspect your home may now be included in the outer edges of the cone rather than just outside it, and Port St Lucie is well within. I am in Orlando and for the past day it has been a beeline for Tampa/Orlando exiting south of New Smynra with later updates dropping to Cape. However, the 6:00 update had a significant drop south (Sarasota), and as I type this at 9:00 a smaller but continuing drop south where now appears entering Venice/Cape Coral and exiting Melbourne/Vero Beach. Hope everything turns out well. Be safe.

As usual, great video guys. We have a 2024 Wayfarer RW (no slides). We had the exact same issue as you with the lights over the cab. They were all installed too tight and every single one of them had hairline cracks. We had literally a few drops in the cab and the Techs at LazyDays Tampa were smart enough to figure it out. Side question we bought a Jeep to pull (you were a big part of that) can you tell us your toad set up. Many commenters are touting the pre-purchase inspection as a way to avoid a lot of issues, and we do recommend that. However, we're not convinced that these issues even existed when we left the dealership. The best advice we can give is to understand what problems you may potentially have, and mentally prepare for the possibility of a less that ideal experience. The most important thing is to do your research, and select the best RV for you with the most reliable track record. Lately, this is not an easy task, but it is definitely possible. Good Luck.

Addendum to the one below, not storm related. Watching with interest as will be buying, Tampa show at the latest. Wondering what to get wife for Christmas! Top 2 are Tiffin and Fleetwood/Holiday Rambler/Renegade twins. I was a bit surprised when you bought the Tiffin after your review of the Fleetwood at the Orlando show. I was there and agree with you on the sofa comfort as Tiffin and the REV Group twins are the only ones I find comfortable - and I told Matt about it which he noted in his review.
@karinwest9193 ай бұрын
@@larrygray1557 , you can always swap the sofa. There is a great Amish store in Shipshewana that makes very comfortable quality recliners for RVs. We had the couch swapped out in our last RV, a Class C Winnebago View.
@larrygray15573 ай бұрын
@@karinwest919 True, and thanks...but should have specified not the freestanding sofa/recliner but the sofa position of a murphy bed unit. That would require a re-design and re-upholstery. If your View is the 24D will know what talking about with the rigid foam and aggressive, more upright, back angle impacting comfort. While that can be corrected, what ruled out the View (and Entegra/Jayco) was shrinking the bathroom width as they reduced Tiffin's 36" wide shower to 32" which also sets the bathroom wall width, causing knees to hit the wall when sitting on the toilet. Thor and the new Grand Design have adopted the Mercedes 4500 chassis which is a non-starter. It drops towing from 4220lbs in the 3500 chassis to 3150lbs in the 4500 - which most people don't know, and it certainly isn't in marketing material.

The bottom line is that we wanted the additional space that a slide provides, and we were hopeful that we would avoid the issues that plague many, but not all RV's with slides. If we had to do it over again, we would definitely strongly consider a unit without slides. We are happy that our floor is fiberglass, and less likely to rot or deform from the water.
