I discovered this show while on holiday in, of all places, St. Kitts about 18 years ago. I just love it. I'm amazed it never got shown on TV in the UK. If you watch any variety show from the 50s, they're just as obvious about the products they're endorsing as this short is. Entire sketches were written specifically for products. The Violent Years is just t!ts! The best MST3K of them all; and the short is good, too. Classic MST3K. "She's got a room on the 400th floor" LOL! Exactly what I was thinking - right down to the number 400. I die laffing every time I recall that comment. Even months later.

@@kylestubbs8867 Honestly, I don't know the other instance (the original MST3k ran for at least 9 seasons) but I'm sure it happened. They develop tropes for these shows and certain things always happen because they're SUPPOSED to happen by the show's internal logic. Tom's always supposed to get hung up by his vanity and ego!

I think it refers to being "red in the face" as one gets when angered. Since they were talking about Judy being teased, it is reasonable that giving her "the reds" refers to her getting angry and being red in the face. And with that you have my best guess, FWIW.
