@cty10372 жыл бұрын
That is the right word that you used here- tack. She also lacks self-awareness. It's really sad to see her wasting an opportunity like having a whole podcast where she could interview different women from different walks of life and share their stories their experiences their victories are downfalls. Instead of she focuses only on herself. She is not able to read the room and to stop playing victim. Even if the royal family had been absolutely racist against her this is just not the way you handle things. The Mandela comment really is offensive and horrible thing to even repeat. @dani-ell-ah2 жыл бұрын
@@tommyluke5952 The funny thing is that the majority of the media and the public adored her. They really supported her and praised the reaction from the royal family towards her and Harry's relationship as a sign of growth, lessons learned after Princess Diana and Prince Charles arranged marriage fiasco and a breath of fresh air for the monarchy. She had the most support; royal and public, out of every other royal bride, including Kate and Diana. 'Commoner' Kate had it worse and got none of the leniency or fluff that Meghan got. There was a small pocket of racists and racist media and the royal family fast-tracked Meghan's introduction into the RF to make it clear to those people that she was considered part of the family. Her first royal engagement with The Queen occurred much faster than Kate's. The Queen handpicked the best members of her own ladies in waiting to make sure Meghan had the best support and training. She was given the wedding she wanted which had far more of her desires and her culture throughout it than Harry's. She was even allowed to invite Hollywood sycophants she'd never even met to celebrate her marriage with. But the one thing the RF and public were never going to let her and Harry do was to blur the unspoken line between celebrity and royalty. These people thrive on our coin and support so the silent agreement is that they don't flaunt their personal wealth in our faces and that they accept a level of boring, humdrum duty in exchange for us funding them. She saw royalty as the absolute height of celebrity and it's not. Celebrities aren't accountable to anyone for their wealth and privilege but the RF are. They're accountable to us because the end of the RF will come at the will of the British public. She talks about other family members getting the same deal she and Harry wanted (clearly meaning the York girls) but ignores the fact that we don't fund their security...security that Harry threw a strop over being stopped when they got the same deal as Beatrice and Eugenie. They wanted all of the celebrity, to pick and choose the duty and they wanted us (the taxpayers) to fund it for them. They are a pair of grubby influencers who asked us to pay them just for existing on a lie that it would benefit us more to make them happy and give them what they wanted and then they threw a tantrum and took their 'business idea' elsewhere when The Queen, on our behalf, told them to get stuffed. Letting them ramble on was the best hand to play because more people are waking up to the fact that they are both hypocrites who constantly undermine their own supposed values that they lecture us all about, consistently lie and consistently contradict their own lies. And the more a narcissist's lies are indulged and enabled, the more grandiose they get. Which is why we ended up with the self proclaimed Meghan Mandela and people are finally waking up to her and Harry.

WTH! She was accepted as the bride of the younger royal grandson (“allowed” to marry into the family) and permitted to hold the wedding in a ceremony broadcast worldwide. She was walked down the aisle by Prince Charles and the wedding was attended by all the royals, including HMTQ. Every complaint she has about how poorly she was treated is negated by this very public fact. I am sure she could have been prevented from ever marrying into the royal family had they had any issue with her. Therefore, she should stop whining and go off into that privacy she said they both wanted when they refused to fulfill their responsibilities. Also, when she repudiated her role as a “working royal” she forfeited her right to the royal title. The world is sick of her continually calling herself “Duchess”. She was ever so briefly such and gave it up of her own free will. I wish everyone would stop talking about them (and her, especially). Please allow them their “privacy”.

@@andreagiesbrecht611 Marrying Harry did not require any woman to 'look pretty, wave and shut your yap' or whatever the suggestion was. The idea that, as the original argument went, someone would prefer living in castles etc and be happy by giving up their own minds, voices or views, is misconceived. Most professional women I know who are doctors, lawyers, scientists, nurses etc were, like me, raised in a generation where girls were not taught to be 'pretty and silent' for any material thing on Earth. My daughter and her friends do not even realise that anyone would even suggest such a thing these days and I can vividly recall my sister and I thinking our own mother and grandmothers were making it up when they told us things that they faced as women in their eras. My mother is a doctor and we could not believe when, in 1976, my father was told they needed his permission for my mother to have a tubal ligation after my brother was born. My father was just as shocked. What would qualify him to tell my mother what she could do with her body, especially medically? As Destiny's Child sand...about 25 years ago about 'the rock I'm rockin'', 'the car I'm driving', 'the house I live in'....they bought it! Me too. My sister too. Our mother too. My son too. And no one has to shut up, look pretty and wave... and think that that is anything anyone really wants. I am not a fan of hers but she made her own money, too. 7 years or so of Suits, invested intelligently, would pay for that house. Harry was clear many years before her that he wanted a different life and he has one. It's no skin off anyone's back. He wasn't the heir to the throne and he, like his cousins as well, wanted the life he chose and he has. End of.

My friend Analyst, you do not impress me with your analysis, a good analyst makes a thorough research before drawing his/her conclusion, the fact that you are coming to social media. I do not know Meghan myself never seen except on television, I do not dislike the royal family, I follow them when there is something going on in the family for instance, wedding or christening etc. I always back Meghan because, i followed her since she got married to Harry, and I can tell she is right all along. when she mentioned the fire break out in SA, the royal's experts came out saying that she is liar, however the narrative was well the truth, but royal's reporters came out in force to portrait her a liar, Meghan cannot compare herself to Nelson Mandela, again this is another twisted narrative those royal's experts creating against her so that people in SA will dislike her. please i will advise you to make some research, then tell the truth in your Podcast, so that people with goodwill will approach you for good things in life rather than take a dirty money to destroy a person. The royal family did not say things for years when the media and royal's experts been smearing Meghan, so why they must say things to Meghan interview, she did not criticise the royal family, she is telling what she endured since she married to her now husband, even Prince Phillips said it as well when she married the Queen, so what is harm in that?

I am South African, and every time I hear this story of how we all danced in the streets when she married , I can honestly say, this was one of the least watched Royal weddings ever. There was no such thing that people danced in the streets! It annoys me that she would dare to compare herself to a gigantic icon like Nelson Mandela, who spent 27 years in prison, sacrificed his life for the greater cause of freedom and this D list nobody could insult South Africans like this is utterly disgusting. 🤮

The part when she's talking about Nelson Mandela, that a cast member told her people were dancing on the streets because of her, reminds me of Mrs Elton (Mr Eltons insufferable wife in Jane Austen's "Emma") who's always saying things like "I am a very good dancer - that's what my friends say! I would never say such things about myself, I am way too modest for self praise!" "I would never compare myself to Nelson Mandela. But other people do 🙈"

The vitriol and viciousness of Meghans article comes from the release of Tom Bowers Book. I had a feeling that once his book came out revealing who she was, and she could not negate it, that she would be pissed and vengeful. I believe she sees, in her mind, that the institution of the royals participated in this book and she is out for revenge. Her article was so petty and spiteful and it didn't come from nowhere. Her anger was aroused by that book. Read his book. She is a sick woman. And his book is well researched and validated. She could never sue him as his references are tight. The Queen really knows how to play the long hand. They remained silent and kind knowing that any uproar from them would cause her to scream racism. But the institution is responding through other silent channels. And she will sink her own ship trying to take down a thousand year institution.

The British press is infamous, and well deserving of its world wide reputation for destroying people that are just inconvenient - none of these people, and I mean NO ONE have ever known her or met her, but for some warped reason it’s open season on Meghan… and poor Harry. Is the reason behind all this vitriol to make Kate and William look better…? If it is, it will be short lived. I am sure they will also eventually fall foul of these deplorable writers and journalist who are just paid to do a job on Meghan and Harry. But none of the Royals will come through squeaky clean - in fact the Monarchy is on a fast slope to irrelevance, oblivion and total wipe out. A redistribution of their I’ll-gotten wealth just might be what’s needed by the majority of Brits who are going through such hard times

Great analysis, Todd! You’ve sussed her out perfectly. Speaking as an English person, I’d like to say that when Harry and Meghan got engaged and later married, the reaction here was one of delight that Harry had found himself a lovely woman who wasn’t from the usual royal circle. Race wasn’t an issue. It was only a few months after the wedding when things began to sour, and as in this interview, it was mostly her own doing. She isn’t even careful about not lying about things that can be proven to be untrue (e.g., saying that the big televised wedding was just for the public show, that the Archbishop of Canterbury actually married them in a garden the day before the official wedding. This which would have been illegal on a couple of levels). She seems to me to be a narcissistic fantasist, who’s done a fine job of isolating and alienating Harry from the rest of his family. Coercive control? I wonder how to she treats him when the cameras are off and they’re alone in their mansion.

The Queen is too smart to repeat that, so she made sure to welcome Meghan with open arms - she was probably given more accommodations than Kate was. All she had to do was follow instructions, work hard, be dutiful and win over the British people. Had she done that, she could have written her own ticket after a few years of service. I bet The Queen would have let them be part time Royals. She has no one but herself to blame as to how things are going. And, Harry has enabled all of this.

I think Meghan Markle blames the British Royal Family for her own increasing unpopularity. It seems she felt and feels entitled to act however she wants, and expects the BRF to squash any and all criticism of her. It seems she believes that, if the BRF had just silenced all of her critics in the first place, when the cracks started becoming apparent (shortly after her wedding to Harry), she’d still be standing on the grand pedestal she believes was made for her. This seems to be what she means when she bemoans that the BRF “didn’t protect her”. Meghan Markle seems entirely incapable of seeing that it’s her own behavior, attitude, and personality (disorders) that are the problem. It also seems she is vindictive, and blames the BRF for not letting her and Harry remain as senior working members of the Royal Family, while they trotted off to California so Meghan could FINALLY get the recognition she felt she was due, for being the “superstar” she always knew she was meant to be, even though Hollywood didn’t seem to agree. Based on what she says in the article, she and Harry seem like they may be an enmeshed, codependent, toxic couple. We must admit that Meghan Markle has made incredible achievements in two chapters of her podcast and the interview with the Cut. Among other things, she made the gap between Harry and his family even greater; she created more drama by making vague accusations about unspecified individuals in the Royal Family, the press, or whatever calling her son the N-word; but most importantly, she pissed off the people of South Africa by describing the High Commissioner's Residence as "a housing unit" and comparing herself to Nelson Mandela. Congrats, duchess of Montecito!

Indeed. And there’s absolutely no way their children would be called the n word by any Brit. For one, they don’t use that word and second, the baby would be marked white. There’s no one drop rule here. Heck, she’d be considered white by her looks.

@@OxfordCommas79 You're totally right. The n-word is really not an expression belonging to British English, it is actually most commonly used among racist groups in the "deep America". I think she realized that the Royal family was not going to make her the star and that Charles and William's family would always eclipse them. She could not handle being in a supportive role to the Monarch. Also I believe she was insanely jealous of Catherine - her status, the ways she wore clothes, the beautiful 21 room apartment, the fact that Meghan would always be second place and would not get the same perks as the Cambridges. Also Catherine would be Princess of Wales - Diana’s title. Meghan could not handle it. So revenge was her only option.

Excellent Dr Grande! as always. Meghan was given the most privileged and unique opportunity anyone has ever been given. The Royal Family bent over backward to accommodate her. The Queen even offered her at the very beginning even before the wedding if you wish you can remain an actress, but no she declined this offer and told Harry no that's behind me now, I wish to hit the ground running and become a full-time working royal. (This we now know was to secure the 32 million tax payer funded wedding) If she had of told the truth about wanting to leave to live in the USA the wedding would of been on a much smaller more modest scale. The queen tailored the patronages given to Meghan, she was given The Royall Theatre Patronage, also the animal charity Mayhew and The Association of Commonwealth Universities. Meg was also given the queen's most trusted aide Samantha Cohen to help her prepare for royal life, and help with planning her wedding, Cohen was also responsible for coaching Meghan on everything from royal etiquette to diplomatic protocol. So everything she said in that pathetic Oprah interview was 98% lies. Just imagine what she could have achieved if she just put her ego away for one second and actually listened to the advice of others around her who were all well versed and experienced in royal life. But she couldn't and she wouldn't, and now this is the result. A fame-hungry egomaniac who will not let it go that the Queen declined her offer of a "half in" halfout" working member of the royal family. Thankgod our wonderful queen protected the crown and the interests of others in the family for not allowing this grifter the opportunity to "merch" and prostitute herself off her royal title whilst all the time being a working member of the royal family, and this is why Meghan can't let it go because, for the first time in her life, somebody with authority has told her no. Meghan has shown the world she isn't serious about charity and giving to others less fortunate, but she is serious about making money, lots of it, it's not an accident her archewell charity is registered in Delaware, so she can pocket 95% off all monies donated and legally only give the remaining 5% to the charity itself. Absolutely shocking and vulgar behaviour, the quicker the divorce is announced the better, I just hope our wonderful Queen is here to see the day.

Imagine giving a narcissist 30 million just to talk about herself to famous people. She's not going to get better any time soon.

She's never getting good, she's a raging narc of all narcs , so full of herself she's dangerous..nope she's beyond that , she's insane actually..poor Harry. His mother would be mortified.

Imagine thinking the royal family are victims of a “mean lady” that wants nothing to do with them when they protect a known and proven pedophile. Andrew’s not going to get better any time soon. I’d like to see more people talking about that

This was SO funny! 😂 And I have never heard anyone breakdown Harry & Meghan’s Mansion’s cost before ~ which is certainly an important bit of information. Brilliant, thank you!

I completely agree with you. The Royals should keep quiet because those two are showing very clearly how vindictive and ill intentioned they are. The more they talk the more poison comes out of their mouths. Poor darlings they complain of their castles, and their millions of dollars.
