Analyzing & Reacting to 200cc World Records in Mario Kart Wii!

This truly delivered and exceeded my expectations for how much 200cc MKW World Records have evolved. I hope you all enjoy this one! Thank you to those who helped clarify everyone's alias, I suspected a few people had used an alternative mii in some of the times. LC: Besart F. (Besart F.) CM: Weexy (Indy) DKSC: Mystogan (BBLDrizzy) RPB: Kasey (Kasey) RDKM: KingAlex (KingAlex) The other 27: Hia (Schmancy, MrWaffle) Congratulations to all who are competing for 200cc MKW WRs, the competition is quite steep with Hia's immense dominance from what I'm seeing in the comments! I am definitely up to doing the glitch/major SC categories for 200cc WRs, I would have also included them in this video but the category breakdowns were confusing going through CTGP's leaderboards (some categories of 'normal' and 'shortcut' or 'no shortcut' (the wording was odd to my memory) were sometimes only separated by less than 2 seconds so I wasn't sure of the differences were that significant or noteworthy between categories). If someone is able to clarify what would be the proper times/CTGP categories to watch for them, I'm up to doing them. Here’s a quick clarification of the 200cc categories! They are definitely confusing and we often have to explain them in the server. Most tracks are similar to 150 in the sense that they have one or two categories. Some tracks are glitch and no-glitch (i.e. MG), and some tracks are no-glitch and shortcut instead,(i.e. rDKM, no-sc and sc.) Four tracks (CM, GV, BCwii, rDKJP) have THREE categories; a no-glitch/no-shortcut run, a no-glitch/shortcut run, and an ultra(glitch) run. These are, from slowest to fastest: CM: drive normally with end cut (broken on chadsoft leaderboards), the one covered here, ultra shortcut. GV: No rock hop, rock hop, ultra. BCwii: No half pipe glitch or end cut, half pipe glitch *and/or* ending cut, 200cc-only ultra shortcut. rDKJP: no spiral skip, spiral skip, ultra shortcut.

“Normal” means Shortcut run, and is used when a No-Shortcut run also exists. We do not know why and it is honestly a bit annoying because it ends up confusing everyone. One other note: the No-Shortcut CM time on the leaderboards is incorrect. Bean has yet to fix the leaderboard meaning we have put the real BKT in a spreadsheet of ours. You can find it in the server or in the descriptions of several 200cc records videos!!

My english is not perfect this is with translator. Thank you for reacting to my 200cc world record at Luigi Circuit because that makes me very happy. This is my first and actually the very first albanian world record on Mario Kart Wii that has ever been set so far. Five days ago I even managed a 00:46.266, just 8 milliseconds away from setting a new world record. I am convinced that it would only be possible to set a better world record there with the GCN controller, since I play with the GCN controller on this track, but if you play with the Wiimote + Nunchuk or Wii-Wheel on the 200cc track, there can only be problems for you. On the first lap with the current best time of 00:46.259 i drove better live with laps of 0.14/0.18 and 0.21 milliseconds and on the second lap with 0.10 milliseconds yes and you just have to make sure that this is done perfectly, even when drifting quickly at the beginning at the fifth second it just looks. On the 150cc track i also beat you with a best time of 01:09.585, currently by 0.14 milliseconds and i have beat your old WR on GBA Shy Guy Beach with my current time 1:22.604🎖️🇦🇱🇽🇰🇪🇺🏎️🎮🏆🦅

So happy to see some 200cc representation! Definitely hoping to get a record eventually but Hia (Schmancy) is just too good (He currently has 27/32 no shortcut WRs, 2 shortcut WRs and a glitch WR, as well as WW tops on every 200cc RT. The only no shortcut WRs he doesn't have are LC, rPB, rDKM, CM and DKSC, the latter two being tracks he has had the WR on. He's just on another level lol)

not only that, on the FIVE (only five) tracks he doesn’t have WR on, he has top 3 WW. he has WR on 27/32 and 2nd or 3rd on the others. Also, his name is Hia. Schmancy is a silly mii he uses LOL

At 21:52 you can see the Speedometer showing 180 km/h because of the trick from the blue zipper and the wheelie but then it goes down to like 143 km/h. But if you take a close look at laps 1 (21:18) and lap 3 (22:25) it's pretty much the same thing, even tho you can see them still being in a boost. This is because it's not a "normal" boost panel like found e.g. on Luigi Circuit but instead a flip trick ramp, which only accelerates you to 100 km/h. For some reason, it still would only make you go 100 km/h on 200cc (except that your top speed is naturally faster and you obviously don't get slowed down from the boost panel), so I'm pretty sure missing that boost panel loses basically no time.

I imagine the reason they use Mach on Moonview is the turn at 20:24. I mean, they don't use Spear on 150 cc for a reason too, right? (Yes, I know Spear was used at some point on 150cc for Moonview.) Another thing to keep in mind is that Mach goes full speed at the boost panel section when in a wheelie. Edit: Looks like you had the same idea.

Nice to see you branch away from the typical 150cc bike runs👀 but that leaves the question of kart bkts when😏 as a kart tt main karts are really amazing to watch and I’d love to see a bike player reaction to the things kart does. 20:40 As someone who has not played MKW in probably 10 years, but watches almost every Troy video... I would ASSUME that daisy mach is used over funky flame because for the entire bavk half of the lap you are on boost panels anyway, and the first half mach looks like it would be better regardless, for MT purposes... also on the turn before the bridge maybe the brake drifting with funky flame would be slower than no brakedrift daisy mach? especially considering the shroom spot is right afterwards going into the boost panels someone correct me if i am wrong but i would assume that is why
