You don't fry on olive oil, first is too good of an oil to ruin by heating it, it's better consuming it raw. Also it burns at a lower point and tastes awful.

Bro anchovies are so underappreciated. They make a great pizza toppings. They go well in savory cream cheese chip dips. You can blend them into basically any sauce or dressing to give it an umami punch, which is why they're in Caeser dressing. They can be brewed into broths for umami punch, which is why some people use them dried for noodle broths. I think people would respect them more if they knew what they were used in.

@@AngryAlfonse big true I love mincing 1 or 2 fillets (depending on how much I'm making I might add more) and mixing it into my Bolognese and Chilli Con Carne sauces it's absolutely decadent. Hardly any need for salt and the ones I get have this garlic and herb oil in the tub it's so damn good.

that hello fresh ad reminded me of how they kept sending weekly boxes to my house for like 4 months under someone else's name. we would call in every time to say we didn't order it, but they would just say keep it and send another one the next week. still have no idea who the name on the boxes is. food was a solid 6.5/10 although every meal was vegan/vegetarian.

@@abbyz8363 I know it's rare lol even in NJ where I grew up all the old italian guys at the pizzerias would joke "I guess we already know hes an italian." In response to me ordering the little fish lol. Apparently it's an old world italian thing so its even strange among younger Italians. First time I ever tried one was because of my grandpa, he'd eat them every year for christmas. We'd have them on the antipasto dish. One year I got brave enough to take a bite and it was banging lol.

It literally heightens the taste of pretty much all the other toppings you could add to it, Anchovies are a godsend for a good pie and I even have a jar of them especially for when I buy a frozen pizza so I can stick them on top when I cook it. Works surprisingly well as the anchovies don't get burned due to the pizza being frozen 👀
