Finally someone took the courage to react to these newer songs that are diamonds too. For me, as 50 years of listening to Sabbath, this album is as good as the first ones. But with a modern touch and sound. Not to be left less noticed at all. The musicianship is just as great that it was 50 yrs ago. And that BASS tone, Geezer is nailing it again. Whole sound in this album is so FAT, juicy and HEAVY. Not dry and slim like in some of the earlier recordings. Thank you so much for posting this :-)

I liked this album and song, but I wouldn't say it's as good as old classic Sabbath. The way that is heavy and kinda slow is reminiscent of Sabbath, but without Bill Wards drumming, it just isn't quite the same. On the other hand, I went and seen them on their last 2 tours and they kicked ass!!! As far as the drummer goes, he's actually really great and comes from Ozzy's solo band and does a great job filling in for Bill Ward.

Yeah! I have requested or suggested this song to other reaction channels but it's like nobody want to touch it. I think because of the title, but I say that it's not what they think. I have been a Sabbath fan from the beginning. Got the first album in my early teens ( I'm in my 60's now). Saw them in concert in San Bernadino, CA in 1976 or 77. So raw and awesome live show I will never forget. FSSF.

I need to just start a Sabbath channel. (hahaha). MY first album was 1970... oh, wait!, that's when their 1st album dropped! hahahahaha Before and after Tony's accident, they needed a bass player (even as "Earth"). Geezer 'took the bullet', so to speak, and played bass. Coming from a rhythm-to-lead guitarist background......... is why he's always been so unique. He plays the bass like a guitarist would. Ofc, they all spent time in the woodshed (obv), so that's where, in his studies, he came up w/ what "regular" bassists do. He just added it to his repertoire. Nothing lost, simply a few techniques were added. A bass inspiration for the ages.

Love the Sabbath reactions man. Such an amazing band. I got to see them for the first time shortly after this album came out and it is still to this day one of the best shows I've been to. Just 3 straight hours of Sabbath. Also found out after the fact that Tony Iommi, the lead guitarist, was in the middle of fighting and being treated for lymphoma on that tour. That honestly made that concert so much more memorable and from what I know he's been in remission since 2016 sometime.

Black Sabbath started wearing crosses to actually show "the ppl" that they WEREN'T satanists....and of course it was misconstrued by "the ppl" as mocking the cross....funny right!?...all of sabbaths music is anti war..anti drugs protest songs basically..... This was the last Black Sabbath record in 2012/ '13 (The album is titled '13') ...It's great to listen to Ozzy, Tony Iommi and Geezer Butler w/ modern technology, instead of their 70's studio records which were somewhat limited sonically... Brad Wilk (Rage Against the Machine) played drums on the record after original drummer Bill Ward declined to participate because of financial disagreements w/ the band. It helped cement the Black Sabbath legacy, since the last record 'Forbidden' (1995) was not the original line-up and was something of a dud... Dio-era Sabbath renamed themselves Heaven & Hell and also released 1 studio album - 'The Devil you know' in 2009.
@rustyrelicsfarm2406 Жыл бұрын
I also heard the disagreements with Bill also had something to do with concerns about his physical health.

@@rustyrelicsfarm2406 That was a touring concern... but the studio situation was a financial disagreement. They wanted Bill Ward to play half the set and have a fill-in for the other half (I think) but he was opposed to that. But Bill Ward stopped participating before the studio sessions.

I feel like the main focus on the music video was missed my so many, For those who don't understand the music video (this is my personal opinion and what I noticed with it) the MV is about American government and corporate greed, if you can't buy it take it, if you can't agree take control over it, America is a soul problem in many aspects of our world. gluttony, greed, murder, hate, wars and genocide, for other countries being affected by Americas greed, genocide and, war. it's as if God is dead, and it all gets swept under the rug because the government can make it seem as if it never even happened with their control over everything we see. It takes amazing people such as Ozzy and many others to put it out into the media world and not back away, I'd say that him any all the others who do the same are unbelievably brave in these times.
