This is what a meal looks like at Noma in Copenhagen in the Game & Forest season. For this dinner, we had three tables booked for a total of 18 members of The Hungries. Unlike the movie The Menu, everyone lived through this experience! 😉 And, no, Noma is not actually closing, as you might have read, but to experience the current version of the restaurant, there are only a few seasons left in 2023 and 2024. #shorts #shotoniphone

On the menu: Reindeer heart, reindeer brain, reindeer penis, duck brain, reindeer blood.... 😳 The creativity of how these dishes were presented were there, especially the reindeer blood molded into an edible candle. Very creative! What was your favorite?

Fingers crossed! If you wanna up your chances, join our food community, The Hungries. We organize Noma tables every season and regularly have members who need to get rid of seats or entire tables at hard to book restaurants like Noma. andershusa.com/the-hungries/

We upload just as many full videos as before (one a month), but we don’t have the capacity to make full videos from every meal. That’s why we make these 1 min shorts in addition. 😊

Lawd that looks incredible! If I ever make it there before they close, I think that is the season for me. By the way, I've been seeing a few articles in big publications about Noma and the fine dining industry in general using a lot of "unpaid labor" (interns) to be able to operate. I'm not sure where I stand on the issue. So, I'm curious about your perspective as food bloggers who, I assume, have developed a relationship with these establishments.

The Game & Forest season is not a bad choice! Good question! Sustainability should definitely include employee welfare. The restaurant industry has used stages for decades and there has recently been a lot of focus on that (with Noma taking most of the heat due to their position). It’s a complicated issue, more than we can cover in a comment here, but as a general rule we think everyone should be paid for their work. That said, many chefs (including René Redzepi himself) would not be where they are today without the experience they got from working as stages themselves. But it does create a divide between those who can afford to work for free for some time and those who can’t. We hope the industry will find a better way to handle this in the future, and find ways to pay everyone. That will probably mean that fine dining will become even more expensive (thus creating a bigger divide between diners who can afford it and those who can not). So many issues in one! Looking at a restaurant like Alouette in Copenhagen gives hope that it’s possible to find a good balance, though. PS: We don’t have a relationship with most restaurants beyond being paying customers and sometimes regulars.

This looks really expensive. I think if I was going to spend a few hundred dollars on a meal I’d prefer to drink babies blood but I don’t think it’s in season, the rain deer blood candle does look interesting though.
