You really need parchment paper as a barrier between the meat. If not the seasoning will cause a reaction to the aluminum foil and it'll start breaking down and the metal will seep into your meat.

I’ve made ribs 3 times with this method. With the right rub, sauce, etc., they turn out surprisingly well. I used a smoked rub and smoked paprika to get that flavor in there.
@WarrenPuffet Жыл бұрын
Smoked paprika makes a massive difference . It provides that smokiness that’s missing. I’ve tried this method and wrapping them, these have a much better bark/exterior but wrapping definitely comes out juicier.

I've made these a couple of times and it's a great alternative to a smoker or bbq...but two suggestions. First, if you decide to do the last step of placing ribs under the broiler on high for three minutes, don't take your eyes off of them. They can char rapidly. Second, if you place an oven-proof container of water at the bottom of the oven, your ribs will be much more moist.

Nice video. I make ribs in the oven once a week and this is almost exactly how I've done it for over 20 years. The thing I have changed recently is that I cover them for about half the time(one hour), then when they are about 10 minutes from done I sauce and broil with the oven rack lowered. Pretty much same result but they are a bit more tender because my disabled family member has an easier time eating them. I always said that if they fall off the bone they are overcooked but yet places advertise that nonsense. I'll subscribe because I like how you produce your videos. Keep it up.

I smoke and BBQ constantly. I was looking for a new oven method for baby backs. I was really impressed on how they turned out!! DELICIOUS! Thank you. I personally leave the membrane ON. I've tried both ways and honestly don't see or taste a difference. The membrane does help keep the meat attached if you happen to overcook. Either way, there's no meat on the back side so I leave it alone. Your toothpick test is spot on. I did have to cover the ribs for the last 20 as they were getting toastie😅 GREAT RECIPE Thx again!!
