I honestly think that the first three “episodes” are actually one extra-long episode that’s been divided into three parts. Viewed as a super long pilot, it is EXCELLENT! 😊

Absolutely loving the tone of this show. It's a slow burn, but the good kind, like when you're working out. Disney was smart to release the first 3 episodes. Really helped that feeling of wanting more. Liking Bix. She reminds me of Halle Berry in some ways. It's all in her eyes. Thanks for the reaction

Cassian is a classic rogue. Rogues live in the world of shady business, full of sketchy characters and locations. I recall the "We've all done terrible things" speech. Spies, saboteurs, and assassins are his people.

This 3-episode arc was EXCELLENT - just what Star Wars has been needing in live-action for quite a long time. More of that, please. 2 seasons - 24 episodes. Groovy. 👍🏼

This show is the best star wars show since Mandalorian, admittedly its a low bar. If I had a dollar for every time I heard someone call this a slow burn show I'd be rich and the same applies to all the times I heard people whine about Obi-wan and Boba Fett feeling congested and rushed. The saying you cant please everyone is so damn true. Thank god there's 12 episodes of this because I am loving it. I would happily sit through another 9 ''slow burn'' episodes if they're on the same level as the first 3. Story, writing, music, acting, world building, characters, practical effects and CGI are all on point I genuinely cant complain about this. Yet.

I like that the tone of this show is so different that the reason Cassian is anxious and making alibis, because he's wanted for murder, can seem strange to an audience that has been trained to see the heroes and protagonists killing nameless grunts as nothing special. But in this show, Cassian acts just like any of us would if we had killed two corrupt police officers and were no doubt being hunted down by the system that created them.

The show starts slow, which I love, and gets better every episode. Excellent world building, great characters, and really good action. Everything you see, builds to something bigger. Great show.

Marie and I watched it early in the morning...at 3:45 AM...and we watched all three back to back to back. It is a full arc and really the best way to view it (in our opinion). One of the main differences in Cassian's character between now and Rogue One...is that he is fighting, but his purpose is survival and trying to help his sister. We do not know his sister's name, but we do know his female friend's name. We watch TV with the subtitles...and they named her Bix. The over-zealous "eager beaver" dude is named Syral. We love how the opening shot seamed sort of like Blade Runner-esque. The music and sound design is immersive and captivating. We love how they are setting up his early live and his current life at the same time. We seeing defining moments in his life...that take him down the path that we finally see in Rogue One. In Rogue One, he said he's been fighting since he was 6 years old. So...his fight on Kinari has already started...for we see there are NO adults in his tribe at this time (which he seams to be about 12 to 13 years old). We are really looking forward to sharing with you as you react to this show. AND, yes, thank you Xander for all that you do. Much appreciated.

I don't care what critiques say, I'm loving the slow build and world building. I don't care if the instant gratification crowd doesn't love every minute of it. They are building a background with a pace that lets you really get to know them more. The writing and acting is absolutely fantastic. And the sets, with this slow build make me feel like I'm there. The main setting this episode looks more naturally lived in than any other setting I've seen (could name examples of current shows it outdoes there). Absolutely fantastic with all the details. There is some subtle and more direct real world mirroring going on with this show as well.

I absolutely loved it! Ever since I saw that quick battle scene in Han Solo where he is dropped on some random planet to fight for the empire, I've been wanting some "darker" Star Wars. A bit more serious, perhaps? Not sure I'm saying it right. But, I loved the tone of this series so far. It's not a show you'd show children, that's for sure! And yes, so many things I'm not used to see in a Star Wars movie. The ruthlessnes, the bringing focus on what it is to kill someone. And sex and sex related things were like always veeery in the background. In this show, not so much! It totally feels like it's for a more mature audience.

It is a slow burn and I'm here for it. I watched all three at once, but if they only released this episode, I would have been a bit disappointed. Your reaction covered the same stuff I was feeling and getting from it. I like seeing this side of the SW universe. This world of people just getting by and doing their jobs while trying to do stuff under Imperial oversight. I'm digging that we have no sign of the Empire at all, but rent a cops that are working for a security agency. You know this officer is just going to make trouble, but I do like how the superior pretty much sussed out what happened and decided to sweep it under the rug. When Cassian took out the second guy, that kinda surprised me because I didn't think we'd get there yet, but guess we are. I did dig the droid. It reminded me a little of an old broken robot from The Black Hole named "Bob". Has that sort of charm to me. I wasn't watching with subs, but I thought the girls name was Biggs and had to go check to see it was "Bix". Good reaction. not a lot to go on but we know it's two seasons of 12 episodes each. We know they have to pace it out for that as it covers the time before the battle of Yavin, (which is what I think BBY stands for.) I could be wrong. They could have told us.

I’m extremely intrigued. I actually prefer a slow burn because all that groundwork that gets laid makes the payoff later so much sweeter. Within the first few minutes I was like, damn. This hits different. The performances, cinematography, score. I love it. Feels like Star Wars meets Blade Runner.

Ep2 ends kinda mid sentence, but this opener ended beautifully. Show starts with him looking for his lost sister, show ends in a flash back of him telling said kid sister something like "I'll be back soon". Perfect bookends. I'm amazed how many people think this episode doesn't stand on it's own merit.

This is by far my favorite Star Wars story since Rogue 1. Not too much exposition at once, even minor characters have some depth…Though it kind of feels like they wanted to make a Blade Runner series and got offered Star wars instead. But that’s a cool perspective that totally fits the world and storyline. The security guard definitely gives me “mall security who REALLY wants to be a cop” vibes. Thanks for the reaction ❤❤

Killing 2 members of the local constabulary is usually perceived to be a big deal. Run, hide, start a new life. Maybe comeback when the heat dies down. I look as the security second as a brownshirt type zealot. And it's the gravest offense to kill one of the guard, their own corruption being irrelevant.

This is probably my favorite new SW series. It's great to see a part of the universe that's so far removed from the Empire that we don't see all the familiar SW trappings. At times you even forget that you're watching SW- the first bit was more Blade Runner than SW. You really need to watch all 3 to get a sense of the story and that's my criticism of the show. I think that if you're going to release it weekly, then learn from episodic TV from the past like the 70s and 80s where writers knew how to pace a story. Gilroy is a filmmaker so I'll cut him some slack, but this should be a 1 1/2hr premiere instead of 3 episodes.

Here’s my honest take so far…. I really like the character Andor, I think it’s awesome that we have a character that covers the whole “spy/secret agent” role in the Star Wars universe. He can fight, he’s pretty bad ass…I’m really liking the whole Cyberpunk feel, they even use some of the slang such as “corpo” lol I love tbat. It reminds me of Bladerunner However, the story so far doesn’t seem very grand…I don’t get any sense of a greater threat or anything at stake..so I don’t know where my concern should lay for Andor and because of that my connection to Andor doesn’t feel as strong as it should be. We’re only 3 episodes in so I’m trying not to jump the gun here, I’m just going off of the first 3 episodes. I know he’s on the run but I just expected something greater from a former spy.

I really don't like Rogue One. The characters are bland, none of them have an arc, the entire plot is unnecessary, it ends with an action scene with Darth Vader (you know, THE BAD GUY), and everyone dies for no reason. It's amazing that it spawned such a great show because it had literally all odds stacked against it.
