It's Beginning to Look a Lot Like Christmas ║ Large Family Vlog

This week we finished wrapping all of our Christmas gifts and got packages in the mail to our far away family. The tree is up, the kids and I went to Dollar Tree to shop for the kids' gift exchange and the kids made snowman gift bags for each other. They also made paper snowflakes, decorated cookies at the library and made jingle bell wreaths. We made our annual trip to the movies with our friends. This year we watched the new Star Wars movie. We'd hoped to go see Grandpa Frank, who's in the VA hospital 140 miles away, but a big storm came through the day we were able to go. Instead, Eden made the trip a few days later with Grandma Kitty and delivered his Christmas gift to him. Thomas, Asher and Judah went to see A Christmas Carol with Grandma Kitty, too. We played our annual Christmas Bingo game; 6 out of 7 kids won so we let everyone have a prize. (Claudia didn't play, but she picked a prize, too.) Thomas won the coloring contest at the library (and got a special letter in the mail) and Eden won the coloring contest at Diehl's Supermarket.

I love these before Christmas videos! Asher is a sweet young man caring for the younger ones. Solomon tugs at my heart. Judah makes us laugh. Eden and Justus get along so well. I mentioned to my dad how much I enjoy watching your family's videos and asked him if he had ever been to your town. He knew it right away and showed me a Coffee Cup vest that he got at the truck stop there. He was a truck driver for 25+ years delivering pizza (Tombstone/Jacks/Digiorno) from Wisconsin to Idaho and everywhere in between. I showed him the part where you went to Coffee Cup for snacks for grandpa Frank and he recognized it before you pulled in.

I am 67 . I have one child , a daughter , who is 45 . I wish I could have been even half as good a Mom as you are . I was divorced , and worked two jobs. The ex was an alcoholic with little job skill . Still , I could have had more patience and found more time for her . Regrets are hard to live with . You are a terrific Mom . Merry Christmas ,!

Barbara Case My mother had me and my two sisters. She never loved on me like she did them. I was always the outcast. It was funny and sad because I looked like her, acted a bit like her and sang like her. Nothing I did was good enough. When i was 44 she got cancer. I gave my life to Jesus years before at 33. My mama wrote me a letter and told me how sorry she was. She told me that she was proud of the woman/wife/mother I was and that she wished she could go back and be half the person I was. She told me she always loved me. That letter blessed me so much and I realized that she did love me. It's never too late if we're still on this earth. Write your daughter a letter. I'm so happy my mama did. I was there to hold her and care for her and at the end of her earthly life and I was so honored. ❤ I know she's with Jesus because she too gave her life to Him. ❤

And i think it's never to late to tell anyone that we are sorry for certain things and how much we love them! Until we die we have a chance to work on our relationships and change them to the better! I just have to give you all a special thank you for taking time out of your busy schedules to film the special moments...especially at Christmas time, when some folks are lonely for their families far away...both in distance and in their hearts. Not only during the holidays, but all year long, you have all filled so many voids in my life and brought a smile to my face, or tear to my eyes. I think in the case of your family, giving gifts may be redundant...because you already have the greatest gift...love. I used to color the same way. Dark outline with lighter in the middle. I would start on page one & go page by page & color the entire coloring book. That is so sweet how Judah took care of Eden so they could keep in touch. What Sophia said about about Luke Skywalker. Ha ha ha!

I wear sandals all winter too, but we rarely get precipitation because it's so dry here. I don't like wearing them on snow or ice because they rarely have good traction and I'm terrible about slipping and falling. When it's snowy or icy, I wear my hiking boots (which have deep treads) not because I'm cold but because I'm a klutz. I have great respect for your ability to stay on your feet! :D

It is so weird that we are talking about this because I just watched your Genjutsu video and it made me cry thinking how much I want another baby. I made it about 10 years ago using my PrintShop program. I still use PrintShop for all of my little creative endeavors. It's even how I make all the thumbnail pictures, channel art, etc. for my KZbin channel.

I used my PrintShop program, but you could make one with a Microsoft Word document, too. Insert a table with the number of columns and rows that you want into a document. Then add a Christmas clip art photo into each box. (I rearranged the clip art for each card. I chose more clip art than I needed for one card so each card is missing some things that other cards have.) After I printed all the Bingo cards, I made a table with bigger boxes, each with one of the clip art pictures in it, to print for the cards to draw each turn.

Tom, his parents and grandparents all moved here together from California in 1998. (I met Tom a few months later.) I'm really thankful that they all came because it would be hard for Tom being far from family. Now Tom's aunt, uncle and daughter have moved here, too. If only we could persuade his sister's family to join us; we'd be set!

We make strawberry and raspberry preserves/jam, but I never get enough of those fruits to make very much. It's very easy. You basically mash the fruit and mix it with equal amounts of sugar (such as 1 cup of mashed strawberries and 1 cup of sugar.) Cook it until it comes to a rolling boil, boil it for a minute or so and it's all done!

It makes the best jam if you mix it with strawberries! Th strawberry go a longer way and it's even more delicious than just strawberry jam! Just an idea!
