I was always a fan of Amy, and was never happy with anyone covering her.... until Angelina came along. Amy had such a unique voice, and when people cover her, they tend to miss a lot of the subtle things that made Amy special. Angelina hears all those special Amy flavors and is able to pay homage to the style without just doing an impersonation. It's not Angelina copying Amy. It's Angelina honoring Amy. ...and she seems to be able to do this with any artist she chooses. ...and I totally agree with your statements about not being "perfect". True art is in the imperfections. BTW: your Valerie was lovely too :)

As you said, Angelina appears both as the young girl that she is (12 in this), and as the amazing singer and creator of great Amy covers as well. She has done 5 amy songs so far. "Back to Black", "Rehab", "Our Day Will Come" and "I`m no good" (at rehearsel only) are the other four. Angelina takes great inspiraton from Amy`s music I think. It makes perfect sense to pick songs you enjoy and also happy reactions are much more fun! It is great song, amazing performance and totally impossible not to swing and hum along with it. Her microphone is small but quite good, I think from Neumann. I also love the fun she and her sister are having at the beach and a great combination with the song :-)

Great reaction and she steals nuances from other great artists and builds on them, making them better. She does that for 2 reasons, 1st, if you listen closely you can kind of hear the voice of the Artist she is covering, 2nd, she brings out the most emotion possible. There where 3 Artists I heard in this cover, of course Amy, but those end flips at end of words is an Elvis trait she uses quite often. The other was Christina Aguilera, the runs, also used by Mariah Carey. Angelina can be behind or ahead of the beat, can dance all around the proper note without hitting it and sound amazing! She is a true Master of her voice at such a young age. You know that's why she is referred to as a Chameleon, or Angel of a 1,000 Voices, God Bless!

Andrea you have become a true angel. Nice job on your short cover of Valerie. Thank you so much for posting a link to the original video in your description. I suggest you verbally encourage viewers to watch, like and comment on the original video. As a musician yourself, I know you can appreciate others supporting your music and I encourage everyone to support you too. Angelina is signed with Republic Records but her family requested she "be allowed as normal a childhood as possible" so Republic has yet to fully promote her. Record companies pay close attention to the analytics on KZbin and I think it is a no brainer for all reactors to do what they can to boost the analytics for the aspiring artists they react to. If you disagree then please let me know why. If you agree, then adding a link to the artists' KZbin channel would help but since few viewers read the description, verbally encouraging viewers to subscribe, watch original videos, giving them a like and commenting is recommended. Any other creative way you can to accomplish these very important steps (some post a text message during editing so as to not have to remember during the reaction) would be awesome. Andy, I agree with everything you said, and it applies to all young artists including Angelina. Since she wants subscriptions to her channel as all reactors do, endearing the fans of the artist will create more loyalty and subscriptions. I've come across quite a few fans of various artists that will not subscribe unless the reactor takes these suggestions to heart. It is a win-win situation to make this the routine. I can say that those reactors that are promoting the artist in this way have been quite successful, and the numbers are increasing daily. All she needs to add is a link to the artist official Channel, and then request the viewers subscribe to it, and like and comment on the original video. By the way, her rendition of Valerie on the guitar was great!

Angelina is very flexible, but when she chooses to sing in a similar style to Amy they sound remarkably similar but I see a big difference that is hard to quantify except to say that Amy always seems to have darkness in her tone. Many of her songs have dark messages although this song particular song is pretty upbeat. Angelina is naturally all rainbows and unicorns, even when she sings a sad song and she really makes you feel the sadness it seems simultaneously infused with positivity. This may just be me and how the music makes me feel.

The young dancer is her little sister Juliette. Angelina is 12 here, and having arrived in the USA a few months earlier, she and her family are having a good day at Venice Beach. This terrific song was written by the lead singer of the Zutons, Dave McCabe, about his then girlfriend, Valerie Star. When Mark Ronson (ft. Amy Winehouse) covered it, he made it more upbeat than the original. It's one of my favorite Angelina performances, and as you said, the juxtaposition of her vocal and appearance (little girl) is difficult to fathom. Andrea, I've come to adore your reactions to Angelina. Your point about sometimes we forget that she is still a child is so poignant and in some of her videos the transition (from child to powerhouse) can clearly be seen. In her stage performances, she tends to come up at the last minute to perform and it appears that she is trying to avoid all of the fanfare and accolades that are attached to gifted artists. In interviews she is painfully shy and does not like to bring all the attention to herself. In other words, she is so genuinely humble and in the music business - when one is so profoundly talented as she; it is very rare.
