Ainsley's Barbecue Bible I know a lot of people had that concern with Daddy o Five a few years back. The kids were filmed in bad situations and all their classmates could see. I don’t hear that defense anymore, but it still happens. You know these kids are bullied every time they do something stupid at home that SHOULD remain behind closed doors, but mommy can’t let that happen. It’s just cruel.

And end ups poorly most of the times even if the parents managed to make the kid feel as an equal to the other kids, children DO resent be given the same outcome when they know they are doing better than their siblings, parenting must find a way to find a sweet spot between meritocracy and equality, treating all your children the same even though they are behaving very different can be detrimental for the ones trying to achieve something and the ones knowingly underachieving, such as in adult life, they need to be praised for a good job and rewarded accordingly.

My mom is in her 60s. She still vividly remembers being told her mother’s miscarriage was her fault when she was 2-3 years old, and she becomes a bit childlike when she speaks about that memory, quietly weeping, because 60+ years later... my mom - former little girl - still believes her mom’s miscarriage was her fault because she was a troublesome toddler. What's really sad is again what he mentioned in the video: The older a kid gets in the adoption system, the less likely a family is to adopt them. That paired with the fact that the poor Chinese kid had autism meant that by taking him in and sending him back two years later, they not only likely crush his hopes of stability but gave him a worse chance of finding a family that really cared about him. All for a profit on KZbin. Disgusting.

I wish my parent was like that, I am very uncomfortable with taking pictures, talking to people. Or even sometimes going outside. My mum has posted my pictures online without my permission and also tries to take pictures of me when I feel very uncomfortable with that going on. She argues that it is just friends and family but I hate my photos being online. She managed to decrease my self confidence and I get blamed for most actions. She makes me feel bad about eating anything then still posts things online without my permission. I don't and never will post pictures of any of mine or my friends faces. I am infact a minor that doesn't have a matured brain, but what I feel comfortable with and what I don't will still be up to me. She also has argued I will wonder what I looked like when I get older. But that's wrong, as one picture is enough, I barely change how I look and I already have pictures of myself. She doesn't treat me with any respect and that's also a reason why I hate taking pictures. I always hide my face from it then she yells at me for not letting her take the picture as I know she will post it online.

Imagine being born just for business, Being a easy target for online predators, And being recorded since the day you were born for millions and millions of people to see. I think living like that could traumatise you.
I think all family channels should be demonitized. Strait up. Responsible parents know they can't rely on their children for income. Unresponsible parents will have to find some other way to support their children. Which as cruel as it is. Shouldn't be forcing the child into an unwanted spotlight in front of millions of faceless people for views. I hate to be blunt like this. But when was it when people were telling the parents to not use the internet to raise your kids. Now they're raising their kids on the internet.

Now birthdays, holidays, and special occasions are fine but she would take videos of me and my sister sleeping bathing (when we were young) and just plain eating, it’s just unacceptable. She’s stopped taking sleeping images and bathing images (obviously after like age of 1) but she still constantly exploits us up to a point where she trashed my 11 year old sister around to get a photo of her with her new braces. Nothing Is ever a family moment as well. Something funny happens, she takes a video. My dog doing something dumb, video. My cat died a couple years ago. She took a photo of his dead body after being put down and POSTED IT!! Because of all this, I’ve grown to hate taking pictures, especially ones that expose my face. STOP EXPLOITING KIDS. Can we appreciate how dantdm doesn’t show his sons face, this shows that he is a good parent and is not like these family channels who use their kids for views
@coolperson82724 жыл бұрын
Dan isn’t a family vlogging channel though. Vlogging is different from gaming. It definitely changes everything. Although I do agree that he is a wonderful parent, and him and Gemma are protecting their son in a positive way.

KZbin should honestly just ban all “family channels.” If that doesn’t happen, they should at least demonetize them.
@UniTheNstall4 жыл бұрын
Imo they should just demonetize them, as he said fairly accurately, they start with good intentions, but as the family starts to become a business, they start treating it like that, so if we make it not be a business, the good intentions will prevail.

they did technically, by demonetizing these family channels. they remove the ad-sense by telling the creators that kids featured will massively reduce their income to protect them online predators. they disabled comments on the channels under 13 and such which seems to be doing well overall.

@mine-bx9if4 жыл бұрын
Parents are literally the worst people you can choose to take care of your kids. Imagine if we did the same with other jobs. Employers hire people with 0% experience to start working and tell them to "figure it out themselves". The company plummets immediately, breaking down in a single week. Parents should show profession in handling toddlers and kids before they have unprotected sex, otherwise it's mandatory to put on a condom or put the baby in an adoption center to be raised by professionals. If that were to ever be applied in our country, the amount of scientists and professors in it will skyrocket in about two decades.

@@mine-bx9if that's kinda bothering ngl. Not everyone is comfortable to the fact that they're adopted and that these "professional parents" may not treat a child like how a real parent does. Love needs to be genuine, and I have a bad feeling that these "parents" would treat them as their job. Besides, I do think that a better alternative would be to take personality tests or something, for it is a fact that people with good personalities tend to be good parents.

I feel so uncomfortable with these channels. When I see them, I feel dirty, like I’m creeping into private family time. I don’t understand this desire to put privacy in the spotlight. When I was young, parents only gave photos of their kids to family members and very close friends. And *home* videos were for the *home*. I would’ve been so upset if private times were on display: like me as a baby playing in the bathtub, picking my nose as a toddler, crying over being bullied at school... it’s terribly embarrassing!

Sis vs Bro is a perfect example of this. All the channel would do is pit these two siblings against each other in trendy internet challenges at a table in front of a camera. They're now both teens, and the sister is full on teen angst in a person, going through every rebellious phase and posting her anger about being exploited on TikTok. It's really sad.
