But, Andrew is being charged for r*ping a 15 years old in Romania in 2020. The age of consent is 16 also in Romania. US citizens can be prosecuted for having sex with minors in any country.

I remember reading about Kalief Browder a black teen who spent three years in jail awaiting trial a few years ago only to have the charges dropped as there was no evidence. They kept trying to get him to accept a plea deal and when he refused they kept him locked up and Americans prisons are hell on Earth. There are 500,000 "innocent until proven guilty" people awaiting trial in American prisons. If you are rich you just pay bail - and yet you think that is a fair system?

We have to be careful not to assume that the accused has the same rights in Romania as in the US or western Europe. I believe the Romanians held them in custody for some time without filing formal charges, which violates due process rights in the US. Even Andrew Tate indicated that Romanian law has its quirks. He and his brother may find out just how quirky it can be.

As for the whole "why did it take so long to bring up the accusation", different people have different levels of fear,plus,of course,you want to have an airtight case. That said,cases that were later proven to be false wind up hurting the credibility of ANY cases against the Tate brothers. It still doesn't mean theyre innocent lambs,being led to slaughter.
