DUDE! I've been watching your vids for a while now... but this is awesome... Matt Mahaffey might have had the biggest influence on me as a teenager of anyone in the music industry!! Here's the story: I'm the hugest Self fan in the world, well, at least in Canada. I go to their show in Vancouver (for his first album) and sing along with every single song. I chat with him after and he invites me to the show in Seattle the next day. My buddy and I go down, but can't get in!! (drinking age is 19 in Canada, 21 in the states). Matt sees us standing outside and asks what the heck is going on? We tell him the situation, and he says to hang out and he'll get us in the back door. Then he starts to walk away, and says "are you coming?". Takes me and my bud out for dinner, I PICK HIS BRAIN the entire time. Concert is amazing, I go home and spend the next few decades diving into electronic music production as a career. Eternal thanks to you Mr Mahaffey!! (also was just a class act dude, got me so stoked on everything!)
