Haha, yea, it would show some great Rublev shot with the games even, then the next highlight would be him down a break or more. Djokovic's highlights are with his consistency. Very low key compared to other players like Rublev hitting 2,083 mph FHs or a serve & volleyer.

How would you define dominant though? If it's simply about who has won more then it's still Nadal, and if it's about looking invincible against opponents, then it's still prime Federer. Id say Novak is a unique combination of many factors that just makes him very very consistent.
@mstefa007

@@adityaakaul saying that Nadal won more is a stretch. He’s got one more slam but fewer masters, fewer weeks at number one, losing record against Djoković, and worse in pretty much every category other than Slams and that is 80% one tournament. French. So now your claim is - This guy absolutely dominated 1 single tournament and that’s why he’s the best of all times.

@@mstefa007 Just stated that he's won more. And yeah the slam count is a heavy parameter of judging that since that was the criteria players were being judged by till Federer got surpassed and all of a sudden the goalposts were changed. I personally think Novak has been a more consistent player overall but the criteria for judging dominance seems to depend on whose fan you are and nothing really objective. And fyi Nadal has won every slam atleast twice so he's not been a slouch on other surfaces.

@adityaakaul Nadal fans these days mention 14 RG titles in their argument that Nadal is the greatest, and stop at that.Rata won less than 60 matches at Wimbledon, less than 70 matches at USO and less than 80 matches at AO, Djokovic won more than 80 matches at every GS tournament. Djokovic is the only man in history who held all 4 GS titles at the same time on 3 ( THREE) different surfaces, Rod Laver won them on grass and clay, never on hard coiurts, since USO and AO in those days were played on grass.

Djokovic, when all is said and done, will go down as the greatest tennis player ever. Overall, the most major tournaments won (Masters, Grand Slams, and ATP Finals), and soon to have the most Grand Slams. Djokovic is truly playing on another level right now. He is walking all over everyone, including guys in the top 10. Rublev was giving it everything, but he still got taken out pretty handily. Everyone knows he’s the number one player in the world right now, he’s just ranked number four because he didn’t get points for Wimbledon and wasn’t allowed in the U.S. Open. As good as Federer and Nadal were in their primes, I’d still have to say Djokovic is the best player ever.

I felt something was very off while watching the highlights. It appeared that Rublev was more dominant, yet somehow Nole wiped him. So I wasn't lazy, and decided to count how many points you showed from each player per set. Here we go: 1st set: Rublev 6, Nole 5 2nd set: Rublev 6, Nole 4 3rd set: Rublev 6, Nole 2 (!!!) In total, Rublev 18, Nole 11. I'd suggest you rethink how make these highlights to more accurately depict the match.

I mean.. just remember the good ol' days back in 2012-2016 where he had to play against the best versions of Rafa, Andy, Stan and sometimes Roger. And he was still able to come on top. He cracked the code (both physically and mentally) to defeat players who would dominate the current tour if they were on prime mode. He's THAT good, yeah an inspired new gen can take one or two matches a year from him, but he's human after all. On the long run, you cannot surpass him, and just when you thought he might be done and his growing scale would start to go down, he comes back healthier, leaner, and more aggressive than ever. That's why he is the best, he did it not one, not two but at least three times in his career (that I remember). As long as no other player cracks the concept of hard work the way he did, no one will ever come close until his physical condition starts to matter. Goat shit.

He literally makes my blood boil and it took me a long time and sincere honesty to figure out why. There are two major reasons. The first is that I'm totally biased for Roger (which you obviously are also but won't admit) so I refuse to acknowledge the clear-cut all around greatness of Djokovic's game. The second is the fact that I'm tired of basically shitting my pants every time the two of them play each other because deep inside I know what the outcome is going to be. By the way it's nice to see a Serbian betray his nation, his people and Djokovic (the one person who's done exactly the opposite of what you are doing), and agree with me. You go boy! A match with mostly short points from the baseline. Yea, not much to highlight. They probably just picked the ones that were hit really hard and went in. Or the ones that were hit really hard, went in, but the opponent managed to get. Baseline tennis isn't as highlightable as an all-court one. Hard to go all-court when playing against someone that smashes like Rublev. And since Rublev is a baseliner ...

I mean, you can see how talented Rublev is by his shot-making here. This isn’t a match where one failed and the other triumphed. This is a match where one extremely talented player just outplayed another extremely talented player. Today it went one way. The next it might go the other🤷🏻‍♂️😉

This version of Novak is a model of brutally-efficient dismantling of an opponent. This is how Novak should play from now on which will make him last another 5+ years. Even last year’s Rafa at AO final would’ve lost to this Novak in three easy sets. Novak just has to maintain this level and stay injury-free for another two matches and he’ll have his 22nd Grand Slam (tie with Rafa with most), 93rd title (one more than Rafa) and the ATP No. 1 Ranking…

Watch the full match and see if you can come up with 8 minutes of better highlights. This is what you get when you have a player like Rublev, a hard-hitting baseliner, playing against a great defender. You get short points that are baseline focused. There's not much to highlight. Instead of complaining, go do better.
