I just got this phone (open box and saved $160cad) and i love it. The only thing that bothers me is the fingerprint sensor, especially since the one on my 6-year-old LG G7 still works super fast and flawlessly. Why does it need to be under the screen at all? It's just fine on the back of the phone. Otherwise, the phone is excellent for my needs.

However, I have forgotten which version or how long already that KZbin and Gboard started to get issue and bug since the Android version is still remain at 10 while other apps still providing updates. Then the battery is dying now, it get drained faster than usual as well as bank app not supported Android 10 and even 11 device. 3.5mm audio jack also has some issues. Therefore, now I intend to change something with similar inch, weight then the features, etc. Not easy to get as the phone nowadays are 6.7 - 6.8 inches +/-, I prefer 6.1-6.3 inches.

I bought one on Friday for £349. I''ve been using a fold 5. It was too much. Too heavy two handed too many things I didn't use. If I'm doing some work the fold 5 has its place but my MacBook does it better. And as a phone it's cumbersome. The Pixel 8a was chosen as a small handset that I could use one handed. As a phone it's perfect. The camera is great, been in Grassmere all weekend. Battery is great, so much better than the samsung, screen is great, fingerprint sensor in the screen is great. I'm glad it's plastic as I hate having a case. And it works with my Mercedes wireless charger that the Fold 5 didn't. Not going back. Only negative on the camera is the colour tone on the skin is cold and a bit uncompromising ie less flattering lol so I put the honey filter on and they are warmed up just right. Good review

This phone makes no sense. You can literally get a refurbished or renewed (in excellent condition) pixel 8 pro for less than 500 and will be more value than this if you care about bigger screen, thinner bezels and so on. Edit: Pixels are usually on sale all the time. If you don't care about storage there's a 128gb version always on sale. With trade ins should a very good deal.

Not just an exotic standard-bearer anymore, nor the phone only geeks find useful - Pixels sure have come a long way. Pixels are getting more refined, feature rich and widely available every year. Prices are increasing too but on the flip-side you're bound to get great deals on older models which still are very capable devices! If you don't play demanding titles and don't care for benchmarking numbers, a Pixel is as fluid as any flagship/flagship killer out there. And I'm yet to take a bad shot with a Pixel despite the imaging hardware getting a bit long in the tooth!

I have a 7a as my secondary device and that device is also going super strong .. and throw in the ecosystem features because Google's ecosystem is highly underrated.. For around the 330 to 350 its the best phone if you like to take pictures and want good software, yes you could get a poco f6 for the same price and in terms of performance its league's a head but in a couple years it will no longer be supported and knowing MIUI it will have issues. I do have problems with my pixel 8a, the bezzels are not great, the finger print scanner is rubbish, the ultra wide is unusable in low light, the software doesn't have a lot of customization, the tensor g3 is slightly underpowered and I do want the software features from their bigger brother but overall I'm quite happy with it, I love the blue colour and the pixel case, the screen brightness, the lack of bloatware, the rounded edges and the textured plastic back, the camera, the size and the fact that I can be a beta tester for new features and updates. I used to only care about specs and that got me a poco f1 but after experiencing the terrible software this time im doing it the other way around, getting a phone with proper software support. I did daily my poco for 6 years so for me it has to last and 7 years of updates is up there with apple without the extra price.
