RIP ANDY!!!! You are definitely missed!!! He was Barry’s mini me! Yes his brothers are doing backing vocals/harmonies in the background. Barry produced his music. Barry and Andy wrote his songs. He had 3 albums! His first 3 songs went #1! You need to check out his daughter (Peta Gibb) singing his song “A Fool for a night”! Maybe do a comparison of him singing it then her singing it. I just want to be your everything Desire Lay your love on me (with Olivia Newton John) A fool for a night

@@d_and_d_reactsall the brothers children have recorded together. Please react to Andy's first release which was his first number one hit. I Just Wanna Be Your Everything live on the Midnight Special. Shows how versatile his voice is. Fun Fact Andy and Barry had identical birthmarks and were so much alike but 12 years different in age. Andy was born the year the Bee Gees were established.

Andy Gibb was SO POPULAR in Australia!!! Gorgeous Man!!! From what I hear, he had given up the drugs, but the strain on his heart meant it just literally gave out.

Andy was just too young, when his bros left Australia. Barry wrote songs for him, he wrote songs himself too, wanted to make it on his own first, which he did, his bros sang back-up for him at times. He was about to join the group, when he passed away. He did go on stage during Saturday night fever with his bros too.

Sorry but I must point out that Andy started his own bands & was performing with them by mid teens with no input from his much older brothers. He also wrote 8 of the 12 songs on his debut album, Flowing Rivers, including the title track which is worthy of release as a single. Just check this man out on The Midnight Special & Don Kirschner's Rock Concert where no lip syncing was allowed, only talent, talent, talent! In those live shows, Andy wasn't even 20 yet & had become as big s star as his brothers. He excelled in many genres. Starlight which he wrote, on Rock Concert, is a masterpiece performance as is Andy singing the BeeGees classic Words as a Command Performance for President Reagan.🔥

Thanks for your reaction. This is a lip synch performance. He's even lip synching the "Aha" adlib in between which is actually older brother Barry's voice from the recording. Andy was kind of Barry's mini me, about half a foot shorter and 12 years younger but they were the only lefties of the family. However, his voice was nowhere near as broad in range or as strong as Barry's. As producer Alby Galuten said in the book "Tales of the brothers Gibb "Andy's falsetto was nowhere near Barry's." Andy had a lower, huskier, sound to his voice and his range was not as big as Barry's. I personally always thought his voice was much better suited to songs of his first album, Flowing Rivers. Andy died of myocarditis - which is an inflammation of the heart - on March 10, 1988, 5 days after his 30th birthday. His heart had been weakened by his drug addiction over the years which, by the way, was also the main reason for his split from Victoria Principal. He also had a congenital heart problem that was later also discovered in Barry and Barry's second son Ashley. You're right on about the song. The Foo Fighters did a cover recently, a year or so before the vocalist on it, Taylor Hawkins, died. Fantastic version. Dave Grohl, the founder, also Nirvana member, of Foo Fighters and Dee Gees did a tribute album to the Bee Gees. Well worth watching
