My favorite rider. Fell out of love with the sport once he had to retire. Pog brought me back though

andy was always my favorite. he never focused on his tt which was his downfall. in 07 and 08 alberto and andy brought the white jersey back to its roots, it was always meant to be on the shoulders of the challenger, the next hope attacking in the mountains. i was 13 it changed my perspective of cycling and the tour specifically the history and symbolism.

thanks for the vid Jesper, I honestly didn't know it's your channel - good to see you back in cycling. One of the best wins I have ever seen. Too bad it was not enough to take home the yellow.

I think if they had manged to get Cancellara into the break, he would have pulled Andy through the valley and that would have been the win

Sadly he had a very bad crash that broke his hip and back I believe. That is possibly the worst injury for a bike rider to recover from. He was my favorite rider. He should have won the 2010 tour fairly but Contador attacked him when he had a mechanical on a mountain stage were he lost most of the time he lost overall by. He had attacked Contador and dropped him, then his chain or derailer broke. Then contador caught up and went on attack. It was sad to watch

If you look at his career history and when Armstrong was caught. It’s clear what happened to his performance.

@@TrueSportsLoreI don’t think it was bad there were a couple of spots where the cycling content was fuzzy then cleared out but that was most likely not your fault but I feel like the add could have gone smoother in it’s animation but this is still a great story

@@TrueSportsLoremy guess it’s the fact that you used footage from a time where 1080p streaming and video uploading was almost non-existent as opposed to footage from a TdF in the 2020’s haha.

Andy was a great rider. It's a shame, that his moment of honor in Paris was stolen by doped Contador. At least he got the Tour win a few years later

So the C in Briançon is pronounced as an S, that's why the letter has the accent symbol underneath the letter. And at 8:00 into the vid, it is Andy who looks tired?? You mean he's the one who looks determined and Cadel looks like he's tired.... ready to die actually, got it the wrong way around, buddy
