I'm a former classroom teacher. I could not be late to work because my students needed a teacher. I always got there early. Schools are excellent models for routines. Spend a day with a classroom teacher and you will understand the value of routines and rituals. Children find comfort in routines, and teachers need those and rituals to control behavior and create a safe learning environment.

What a treasure for me to discover you Angela!💘 ( I am 50 years old now). Even when I was a little child I knew how important for me to have a routine. You wouldnt imagine how had I tired to have one but no way, I couldn't! Then I understand that I didn't know myself. I was stuffed up with all my traditions, traumatic past, fears etc. They became the conductor of my life and I was a puppet of in their hands! Then I stopped trying to create a routine instead focused on who I want to be. And understand and accept all that what happened to me. Face with them. Gone through the fire feeling deeply the pain every inch of existence. As a result, I became 50 now. Ready to create a routine-actually have started - Started working a cleaner quite recently to save up money to buy a laptop to study councelling online ( in traumas as I have more experience in this field). So ladies, don't give up! Again thank you for your generosity Angela💙. You are a sage to me!💘🙏

I like this! I broke my home up into different zones and I try to tackle 1 zone a day for 15-20 minutes. I also try to clean as I go, put things back in their place, etc, so that cleaning is easier. Little by little I’ve notice much more order and calmness.

I do that too. I dust on Sundays, floors & kitchen on Monday mornings, and bathrooms on Tuesdays. I also make sure I have the right tools. At 55 I can’t afford to have my back go out pulling heavy vacuums, water filled buckets etc., so I dust mop the wood floors, mop them with Bona (we have engineered wood floors), steam the tiled floors. OMG! The steamer changed my life!

Something about the way she connects with her audience and the way she speaks to them that is sooo comforting. Not to mention the advice she gives is just as good if not better than any therapist I've seen out there. Great channel. Great content. Very inspiring. I absolutely love it! Me: I LOVE TO CLEAN AND I'M GOOD AT IT!!! Also me: trips over the vacuum extension cord, because the wheels got stuck in it, whacked myself in the head with the vacuum handle trying to not fall on our poodle, knocked my earring out of my head with said handle, vacuum promptly sucks up grandmother's vintage earring into the abyss of eternal fluff, which I spent a good amount of time picking through in the backyard. Great tips, thank you Angela. Yes a routine works great because it eliminate wasting time trying to figure out what to do. I like stacking habits for example it could be getting in the habit of putting away stuff on one touch. For example you can just make a decision that you won't pile up clothes on the chair aka "Chair Syndrome", instead every time you take off your clothes either you put them back in the closet or laundry basket. Another habit to stuck on top of this is just to make the bed everyday. If you do this consistently for 30 days you will not go back again.

I came to your KZbin for house cleaning knowledge but I’m getting a LIFE cleaning lesson 😘 I used to be organized, clean and have a flexible routine, it helped get life’s tasks done but gave me freedom for those unexpected things. My husband found pleasure in putting a stick in my spokes and it got worse over time. He worked so hard to undo anything I did and to interfere with what I needed to do that eventually I gave up ! I gave up on everything, on counseling, on the marriage, on having anything nice, on making plans, on expectations, on fighting in court over the kids…..I was defeated ! And for some reason, although he isn’t here sabotaging my every move, I still am unable to get back to the old me for fear of “it’s not going to work out anyway, it doesn’t matter” ! Now I am so behind on things needing done that it’s overwhelming and is paralyzing 😏 I’ll be 56 soon and I feel like I don’t have time to do everything, I just can’t wait for this life to be over !! I’m not suicidal, I’m just ready to be done, so come Lord Jesus 🙏🏻 and until then, I’m going to take lessons from Angela ❤ Blessings

It's just a routine that I have memorized after years of doing the same thing over and over. Boring is financially secure.

This was a very, very helpful video. I reviewed my entire list of daily, weekly and monthly routines, and added little tasks to each one. Just the daily routine changes made a huge difference. Thank you for your excellent videos!

I have watched a ton of videos to train myself into becoming a morning bird and/or time management. This is one of the most useful. I would love to see a video on how to manage your time effectively while reducing wear and tear on your body. I am very thorough, but need to improve on how to work smarter, and not just harder.

I totally agree. Create a routine. Habit stack. And once you have done the habit stacked routine tasks the rest of your day is free to do whatever you wish, guilt free. I have been doing it most of my life so I know it works. And, whenever I get bored with it, or I fall behind- because, after all, I am only human, I tap into my favourite "cleaner" videos (yours being one of my main 2, the other being, Clean My Space), It gets me back on track. Finally, Thank you again for all your encouragement!!

Good day Angela! Thank you so much for sharing your insights. What you were saying about freeing up mental space with routines is so true and reminded me of why Sherlock Holmes didn't bother to learn astronomy. As he says: "I consider that a man's brain originally is like a little empty attic, and you have to stock it with such furniture as you choose. A fool takes in all the lumber of every sort that he comes across, so that the knowledge which might be useful to him gets crowded out, or at best is jumbled up with a lot of other things, so that he has a difficulty in laying his hands upon it. Now the skillful workman is very careful indeed as to what he takes into his brain-attic. He will have nothing but the tools which may help him in doing his work, but of these he has a large assortment, and all in the most perfect order. It is a mistake to think that that little room has elastic walls and can distend to any extent. Depend upon it there comes a time when for every addition of knowledge you forget something that you knew before. It is of the highest importance, therefore, not to have useless facts elbowing out the useful ones." I just love your videos 💛
