HOW TO MAKE BABY FOOD: HOMEMADE PUREES
You asked for it! Here’s how to make your own baby food (Stage 1 purees) at home. This is an easy DIY that I do once a week with fruits and veggies, for both fresh and frozen foods. You can make a variety of baby foods this way and use breastmilk instead of water. Some people do not steam or peel certain fruits or vegetables (for nutrition value) this is just how I prefer to make my baby foods.

Nikki Bentley Is My Angel I’ve literally seen my sister pump her BREASTMILK. It’s not that yellow or thick. It feeds baby and comes from the breast. It’s human milk. It’s called lactation for a reason.

You should definitely rinse the spinach even if the package says it's been rinsed. You never know how clean greens actually are. (Also, I've found caterpillars, ladybugs, and other little critters in organic spinach on several occasions.)

O Riskii Same thing here, girl! If you are an under supplier don’t worry about adding breast milk. Boiled water is just fine. You may add breast milk just before giving to your baby once it’s thawed from the fridge/freezer (which tends to be anyways a little thicker than when freshly made). That’s what we do. ☺️

Keep the stems!!!! They contain more nutrients than the leaf, plus there’s no difference in taste and there’s no texture either (after blending) Also you should put the sweet potato in the oven so it keeps all the vitamins and nutrients and are not all gone in the water, after it’s soft in the oven the peel just comes right off like butter, no need to peel. I like to keep as much of all the natural good stuff in my baby’s food so she gets the most out of it.

I made my daughters baby food and she’s a great eater still at almost 3!! Her fav was always sweet potatoes and she still loves them...she also loved cauliflower, squash, egg plant, spinach added to things, green beans, peas, carrots and any and all fruit!!! I boiled a ton but also found baking things was great too!! I also added in a touch of butter and different spices like organic onion powder and such... do you ever just do your your fruits cold like an apple sauce and such? I have a son now also he’s two months and I am rushing it by no means but excited to get back into making baby food!!

I loved prepping meals for my son when he was a baby. He was raised on 100% Boob and Homemade baby food. Only once, did he ever try processed baby food. That was at Disneyland. I took him to Disneyland when he was a baby, and they wouldn’t let me bring his food into the park! So, I ended up buying him a Gerber Banana flavored baby food from their snack area. He tried it and spit it out! Then I tried it and spit it out! I couldn’t believe people actually feed that stuff to their babies! To quell his hunger, I bought him a Strawberry and Vanilla Streetcar Sundae with extra whipped cream. We both devoured it! ☺️

Hello Just a couple suggestions steaming foods retain vitamins better. The less heat the better, consider not cooking the blueberries at all. Also please please please ever ever add water to purées. Consider breast milk, formula, coconut milk, or some other alternative milk depending on preference.

People may disagree with me, but I don’t think its ever “too late” to switch up what you are doing. What matters is you believe you are doing whats best and fixing your mistakes when you see them. Always thrive to learn more but don’t beat yourself up. Your own mental health as a parent is often overlooked.. Do not blame yourself for doing something “too late” just move forward and do whats best for your baby ♥️

My baby is 4 months old and her doctor said no butter or anything salty because their bodies can process sodium very well yet. My suggestion is asking your pediatrician before making any recipes just to check what is best for YOUR baby. Every mama is different so no hate. Loved the video!

Mother of Ghosts all baby foods need to be peeled at first. Why? I’m not sure, but apparently it’s important

My baby is 24 yrs old (1998! LOL).....what ever we ate for dinner, was put to a blender for my daughter! My daughter was also potty trained by 20 months, because she wore cloth diapers & only wore disposables when we went out somewhere!

Where did you get your baby food puree machine at its so adorable. I love watching your channel 💁🏻👑

I recommend that you roast sweat potato’s in the oven with the peel on then peal and purée after. If you boil food in water and then pour the water off, you are losing many or most of the nutrients by it boiling into the water then getting poured off

My baby is almost 5 months old and already received mine in the mail! Can’t wait to use it. Can I use formula instead of water? And how long would it be good in the fridge/freezer for?

I'm not really sure! I would ask your pediatrician for clarification.
