Hey, Angela... I just found your site here on KZbin and am currently studying Angie with you. I have always played a more basic version of this and added a few embellishments here and there, which has been fine, but your lesson is 👌. I picked up a guitar just over 2 years ago, after retiring from my drama teaching career, and I am absolutely loving playing, despite the handicap of old age arthritis, and I really appreciate your skill in imparting your considerable wisdom at a beginner friendly pace that provides time for practicing as I learn, repeating phrases really slowly, so I can refine my playing as I go. Brilliant! Thank you sooo much for taking the time. Your patience and your upbeat personable interaction with your students is fantastic! I practice 5 to 8 hours a day and have been learning from a lot of online tutors, like Justin and Marty and your friend Mary Spender, and numerous other teachers, who are all great, but you are the only one among them who goes at a pace that allows me to play without having to pause and rewind during the challenging parts, which is brilliant. So...Angela...I thank you for your great work and your generosity in passing on your skills to this ol' fella... All the Best, Tim Holtom 🤗☮🤗

I’ve been playing guitar since 1963. Of course playing so many popular songs by the Stones, The Beatles, et al. Of course those were the days when you only had the radio or the record to listen to when trying to learn songs, endlessly playing a portion on the record by lifting the record player arm and trying to replace the needle just at the spot on the record where the particular phrase of the song is you are trying to learn.😩. Yikes! So it is great to listen to you and watch your video where you touch upon the intricacies of fingering of chords, finger placement, and the importance of “pivot” fingers. Your instruction lets me go back and “fine tune” my performance of songs from the 60’s and 70’s, particularly the guitar parts of the performance😎. Thanks so much from a fan in Thorndale, Texas!

I just found your channel, and this is like encountering fire for the first time. I’m currently taking lessons in my hometown each week. At 56, I’ve always wanted to play guitar but made excuses along the way. I have a fantastic teacher, who’s beyond patient with me and enjoys my enthusiasm. As for any beginner, the practicing sessions become tedious, monotonous etc etc etc… I find taking a break, but keeping my head in the game, keeps me focused on getting better. KZbin has been a great resource for those moments. Per your video, thank you for including us “newer” folks when explaining things. You have a superb gift. Thank you for sharing it.

Just fallen on this lesson. You are wonderfully patient and encouraging . As a 65 year old learning for about 10 months this is my "challenge" song. Something of a fumble fest at the moment but slowly improving.
