Hi Carolyn, I had a Macaw back in 1976, they didn't cost so much back then but they were still expensive by 1976 standards. I paid $700.00 for the bird and $700.00 for the cage, every place I went, I took 'Hooker' with me. He needed a lot of attention. I'd love to have another bird but I don't have the money to spend. I really enjoyed your video just now and was reminded of the great times I had with my bird. I subscribed, left a thumbs up, and tapped on the bell too. I hope to see more of your videos on the Macaw, thanks for sharing. BTW, My ex-wife has a breeding pair of Cockatoo's with her in Florida, they are like kids to her, she loves them dearly. Cheers

The Hyacinth macaws i have seen before have yellow on each side of their tongues but I noticed Love and Glory don't. I was wondering if that is because their are different sub species of Hyacinth macaws.

Hi Carolin ive been looking at the price of Hyacinth macaw in Australia and I found one for $60,000. A 7year old female she had no yellow markings around her mouth like Love and Glory which I thought was unappealing and she didn't look happy either. You have done an amazing job with your babies they're all look so healthy and beautiful and happy you deserve it Mom of the year award 🥰😇❤🌻

I love your videos but unfortunately the little sound effect pops you use are SO LOUD that I can't watch the videos when headphones are needed, such as waiting at the doctor's. Even the sounds the birds make are not as loud as those pops. Is anyone else experiencing this also?

@@julietwilson6646 I like them too and I turn the volume so Carolin and the birds are perfect but the popping sounds are then painful. If I turn it down more I can't hear what Carolin is saying. I think her microphone and the sound effects are just set at different levels but that's ok I will just have to keep skipping the videos until I can be at home and not need the earphones

I doubt she breeds them. My grandma used to breed birds, and if they are friendly with humans then they have imprinted on them and will not breed with another bird. She has human friendly birds, so I think she cannot breed them.

They are not he most expensive parrot but? I get it you wanna brag but plenty of parrots above the $120k mark that are out of nearly everyone's reach. Hyacinths are super common compared to lol, and rescues have plenty so not that rare
