kelly perez I know your comment was posted a year ago but I just have to point out that it wasn’t that Angelina didn’t want to be Winona’s friend Angelina is a method actor she chose to stay in character at all time and distanced herself from Winona. I read an article that during the filming of the HBO movie Gia she did the same thing to her then husband when he called her on the phone she told him she was a heroin addict, a lesbian and she was dying so she wouldn’t be calling him for weeks & then she hung up on him.

I am gonna be honest, Jolie's performance in Girl, Interrupted seemed like a female version of Heath Ledger's joker. Complete remorseless psychos and Angelina nailed those feelings and nuances impeccably. She was so terrifying, terrific, believable and convincing at everything that came out of her mouth. It's like not even watching Angelina anymore but Lisa on the screen. Easily the best "best supporting actress" winner of 90s decade in my opinion.

I never really understood why people always have been so confused and even disgusted by the relationship with her brother. Everyone always made such a huge deal about it and I can't help but wonder how different people would have reacted if it had been her sister she was talking about. I love my sister so very much, she means everything to me and is the most important person in my life. I can relate to the intense love Angelina apparently had and still has for her brother. James' and Angelinas Nanny also explained in an Interview, that the Oscar-night in which they shared their infamous kiss (that by the way was just a brief kiss, the foto fools you into thinking it lastet longer) was the night after their mom got diagnosed with cancer. I guess they wear holding onto each other more than ever. Any other picture of them kissing after that night was just them playing the fucking game! Angelina probably noticed how extreme the reactions were after the Oscar-night and since she loved to push borders, she gave the media and the people what they wanted to see. They probably laughed up their sleeves about how shocked everyone was.

Knowing that this was the same day their mom started treatment for what would eventually be her demise & knowing that they spent the day at the hospital with her before they had to go get ready for the Oscar's, saddens me. lynn patzkowsky , Miss Lynn I am in total agreement with you Dearheart. I too felt that Miss Angelina was perfect for the role in Changeling. She is a mother playing a mother. Plus I was happy for her because she got to work with Clint Eastwood. Please take care Miss Lynn.

I thought Toni Colette so deserved this, she was absolutely amazing in 6th sense, really did such good job at portraying a mother who is worried for her son but couldn't do anything about it.

The role that made Angelina Jolie popular after two consecutive years of excellent performances in acclaimed TV movies (George Wallace, 1997; Gia, 1998 - She was nominated for two Emmy Awards in 1998 for these.)
