Alison, what a wonderful reaction. You 'got it' and you have no idea how much joy you brought to so many people around the world because all of us are so happy for you. She has already touched your heart with her love and, Alison, it will never leave you. Of course you want to hear what she currently sounds like but in Angelina's case it is so very important to hear her when she was younger (much younger!) because these performances are incredibly beautiful and unforgettable. She brings you joy, hope and love with her voice and she inspires you to be kinder, more caring and loving than ever before in your life. Although physically only 7 years old her poise and confidence resembled a seasoned pro. You are quite right Alison. She can sing in many different styles. She is often called The girl of a thousand voices. Often called the bare foot Angel as well. Angelina calls her fans her Angels. She is Realy the Angel. In short she met a homeless girl when she was 6 with her mother and Gran. The young girl had bare feet with cuts on her feet. Angelina gave her the shoes she was wearing. Told her to keep them. Angelina said she will not wear shoes when she sings till every child in the would has shoes. Has stuck to that even today. Angelina has raised millions dollars in charity avents around the world since.

It was a night I could not sleep and my mother was stressed that I was awake long after midnight. Then I borrowed my mom's iPad where I wanted to listen to jazz on KZbin before I fell asleep. Then came a picture of a beautiful lady screaming at the sky and with her eyes closed. I heard the song "Gloomy Sunday" that night and then I had to hear it every day. I love the melody. I understood well what the text was about because I know English well. Every time I sang it I felt something special about it, it's hard to explain in words. While she appeared a little nervous during her interview (in Norwegian), once she started singing (in English) she sounded like a seasoned pro. And why did Angelina go on NGT at age 7? Well - because even though she wanted to audition when she was younger, 7 was the minimum age. I strongly believe that Angelina has been blessed with the innate GOD given gifts of not only a beautiful voice, but also the ability to emote the essence of each song she sings direct to our hearts & souls allowing us to also deeply FEEL her music as it flows through her. I've been following Angelina for over three years now and this still brings tears. Alison, you are so correct, the single minded determination and courage Angelina has is so obvious. She didn't sing twinkle twinkle little star, she chose to sing a very difficult piece of music that was sung by an icon. Part of what they were amazed about was how Angelina was incorporating some specific vocal mannerisms of Billie Holiday. If you watch her sing Holiday's "I'm A Fool To Want You", it would help to see the original version first. After Norway's Got Talent the next performance reacted to is usually the black and white video of "I Put A Spell On You" when she was 9, where she shows the influence of the original by Screamin' Jay Hawkins.

Her next 1 is the judges cut, she sings a capella "I'm a fool tk want you" very beautiful and haunting. After that she turns 8 and sings in the semi finals " Bang Bang" the Nancy Sinatra cover. Then in the final "Summer Time" by George Gershwin. Then you can go back to when she's 6 in a sound booth at her school singing "I who have nothing" made famous by Tom Jones and also Shirley Bassey. She was wiping the tears from her eyes and later said that at that moment she realized she had lost her daughter to the world.......A suggestion, if you intend to react to more of Angelina's music: We all agree that she is a very special talent, and one of the ways for a reacter to better understand and also showcase that talent is to first play a snippet of the original (or most popular) version of the song Angelina is covering. She'll always honour it, sometimes completely transform it and never fails to put her own spin and other Angelina-isms on it. And usually a great many people prefer her rendition. But, if one has never heard the original (Bohemian Rhapsody for example), they can never fully appreciate what she has done with her own arrangement and the full extent of her genius. Had you first listened to a little bit of Billie Holiday singing Gloomy Sunday , you would have been paralytically astonished by Angelina's performance.

Angelina fully understood what the song was about...she had listened a lot to the full original version...that's how she was able to steer her rendition of it away from the subject of suicide and make it focus on sadness or depression instead...her mother didn't want her to do this song and, as you'll discover, Angelina is quite open to altering lyrics to appease mum or simply for age appropriateness, as she's covered some very adult songs

For many new reactors to Angelina, the question is what to watch next. The answer is: it doesn’t matter. It’s almost impossible to stay chronological because she has so many great songs when she was very young that reactors get impatient to see what she can do now. She’s just stunningly good at any age. You understood right away that jazz is in her bones and that Angelina adds that to many songs. One of her most amazing songs is her jazzy version of Billie Jean. I can’t imagine any singer even attempting to cover that. 🎉🎉🎉 Here's your challenge for NGT 2, "I'm a Fool to Want You." First, watch this amazing little angel sing this Billie Holiday song. It's an a-capella performance without additional pre/post content. After you've seen her Norway's Got Talent rendition, skip ahead in time to an 11 year-old Angelina performing the same piece in the studio for her first album, "It's Magic." While any/all of her performances are stunning, this was especially so. Even though it was amazing to hear what she could do at 7 and 8, this one is like amber soaked in honey. @pjg58x The judge's panel videos I've seen had no English translations to accompany them for NGT 2. There's a great link for NGT3 that I've wanted to get a translation for. Have you seen this with subtitles .... NGT 3 - "BANG BANG" inspired by Nancy Sinatra's rendition. This video has Angelina sharing songs of her life at the beginning. Unfortunately, this first segment doesn't have a translation added to it. Yet, it's great to see her being a new 8 year old at home and about town.
