So beautifully put. I'd also state those using psychology to use her in a more long term way, would be skilled in making her see the worst in people, much like this song could allude too, sewing distrust within her family would be the main goal. She seems more intelligent and understanding than most, and has decided her family is her rock on this adventure. Not worried even in Hollywood. I just hope she knows love and lust is a crazy thing if that was involved, and these people are often incredible at manipulating. Her family can't be perfect, and anyone can see the worst in anyone. A very human thing born of insecurity and selfishness, to want someone else's circle to shrink when you are in it, and feel a giant need for them. Something we get good at, and very driven for, even subconsciously. It doesn't even take bad intent and evil genius necessarily, as much as just weakness and need. We fool ourselves about our intent all the time with our weaknesses. Someone could easily want her that bad, or more influence over her career. Either way. But she knows, the good and bad. Family is like life. During the rockiest moments, or on the touchiest subjects, if someone encourages focusing on them in a bad way when there is both good and bad, they aren't in it for you. Even just boatloads of money and fame can isolate the greats. Isolation bad. Family good. Even if you make them filthy rich and they still get on your case, and have occasional lapses in intent. Gotta stay grounded somehow, no better way than a real connection, with the kinks always being worked out with your family.

I’m still blown away by the little white-dressed barefoot child singing Gloomy Sunday and to see and hear her evolve…it’s heartwarming knowing she’s never given up, and I KNEW way back then she was made of something spectacularly special and I just wept hearing how much her voice has matured! Doing a cover of a huge song from a huge artist that arguably has the most strong fanatical followers is already a huge challenge. Making an almost new song out of it is already stepping on a danger zone. But Angelina took all the risk with this one and made this old classic song current while still paying homage to the one and only King of music. She made a whole new story telling but still brought it back home where it does belong. It was a throwback yet very much of a present time. Great visuals and damn great vocals. And the piano of course...amazing production.

The storyline of the song is based on James’ personal experience. He was married but still had feelings for his childhood sweetheart who was also married. James’ wife was suspicious of him. James felt all three of them were “caught in this trap that they could not walk out of.” “Suspicious Minds” captures the mistrust of the circumstance and what they needed to do to move on. Rolling Stone reports that James recorded a track of the song for Scepter Records in 1968 that had a country take. His version did not chart.

This is an extraordinary cover - so different from Elvis's version that it took me a while to adjust to the change. By slowing the song down and making it more intimate (no background singers, just the piano accompaniment and the guitar on occasion), Angelina really conveys the pain of being in relationship with a jealous partner. I'm now convinced my interpretation of hers, is that this isn't about a man and a woman at all. This is about humanity, civilization and our love for one another. About Angelina's dream to sing for the world. The relationship is her and her dream, and all of us in how we treat one another, how we choose to see one another, how we love or don't, the future we see or don't together. Everything about this girl is simply exquisite. From her voice, to the "way" she has when she sings, to her arrangement and interpretation of music, to her song choices, to the vision she creates in her performances/videos, to the way she looks, her choice of clothes, choice of hairstyle, etc., etc., etc. The achievement of perfection is rare, but our beautiful Barefoot Princess (and she is a Princess) has been doing it routinely since she was seven years old (or before). And she does it, seemingly, with so little effort. Of course I know the amount of work she puts into her craft to make what she does "seem" effortless. She is (and I mean from the age of seven!!!) the most amazing artist I have ever come across. The number two spot?? Well, it's quite some distance behind her. Thank you Angelina. When you look at Angelina when she sing these songs is like you can see these musicians soul in her face. Just think of Elvis and look at this video once more. She is amazing, I am proud to be Norwegian, having such talented young/old girl/woman/soul to represent herself and Norway to the world. A true shield maiden💪 with a voice the Viking Gods will celebrate in Ásgard for many decades to come.

It's almost not fair to the music industry. At 16, she is the most talented female singer on the planet. It's not just her voice though. Her pronounciation, phrasing, and understanding of what she is singing is off the chart. The producers for the Elvis movie have to be thinking that this recording should have been in the movie. Yeah 'murtheblur' it's baffling that Laz Buhrmann wasn't aware of this possible Angelina effort being in the works when he went to assemble the soundtrack. Perhaps it was simply timing being off, because I can't imagine the chosen cover of Suspicious Minds not being Angelina. Baz chose an artist by the name of Paravi Das, and she is talented, and has a warm, deeply soulful, definite quality ... to her voice, but missing out on placing Angie on this soundtrack is unfortunate for all.

I haven't seen the movie, but I think this version of the song has an entirely different meaning than that when performed by Elvis (which when you see the Elvis performances seem to put the lie to the lyrics). I imagine that including AJ's version in a biopic on Elvis would put an entirely different meaning. Probably not what should be applied.

I should not say ‘just tears’, it is one of the best feelings I have ever had, to have a physical manifestation of my amazement, appreciation, hope, and anticipation rolling down my face. I have never reacted to anything like this before. I had more tears in the first three days of discovering Angelina than the preceding 56 years combined. And tears every day since, including now as I write this message, recalling all of it up to this point. Life is simply something different now that we have Angelina.

Aside from having the best voice I've heard Anglina is also the greatest interpreter of lyrics.. According to the songwriter at the time, he was married to his first wife but still had feelings for his childhood sweetheart, who was married back in Houston. His wife had suspicions about his feelings. He felt it was a confusing time for him and that all three were "caught in this trap that they could not walk out of." . Elvis version and all other covers I've heard with the boucny upbeat tempo loses those feelings of hurt , confustion, regret remorse and hope which was the intent of the lyric.... She also brilliantly uses the bridge as an intro to set the mood " oh will our love survive I'll dry the tears from your eyes don't let a good thing dies when honey you know I'll never lie to you... The first time I've eve heard this song not start right from the verse... Michaels children are precious and what a beauty Juliette is becoming... Her smile melted my heart, and such natural in front of the camera
