Exciting! Zealous! Uplifting! I love new traditional arrangements of the old carols. Great job of choir and orchestra alike! norma m

Dr.Eric Thorson that was an absolute perfect job of conducting! It is refreshing to know there are still real conductors that have skill! Thank you Sir.

I liked his conducting, too!

Uplifting, Come and worship! I love it. It's amazing how an instrument so small as the triangle can stand out above the rest of the instruments

As a percussionist, I appreciate you noticing and saying that. Sometimes we feel superfluous and unappreciated.

I have no idea what happened, but I was singing this song, and when I looked at my phone, this video was pulled up

Originally titled Regent Square this is a much under performed anthem. Dr. Thorson can teach the LDS Church that there is a great difference between this performance and what the latter deems as being the same song. Angels We Have Heard on High is not the same. This choir and orchestra gives us a firey performance. Merry Christmas

You're right. The LDS Church did sing a different version, but if you read the info under the video it said, "arranged by Mack Wilberg for Music and the Spoken Word Christmas special." After doing some Googling, I found out that they use the UK version of the lyrics and tune. So, they chose the country of origins' arrangement instead of the American one. They're both beautiful, though. I listen to both at Christmastime.

Merry Christmas. The carols, anthem(s) are much different. The lyrics can be switched of course.

Henry Smart titled it Regent Square because of Regent Square Presbyterian church in London . .I guess. He eventually changed the title . Angels We Have Hear on High is the French version.

Angels from the realms of glory, Wing your flight o’er all the earth; Ye who sang creation’s story Now proclaim Messiah’s birth. Refrain: Come and worship, come and worship, Worship Christ, the newborn King. Shepherds, in the field abiding, Watching o’er your flocks by night, God with us is now residing; Yonder shines the infant light. (Refrain) Sages, leave your contemplations, Brighter visions beam afar; Seek the great Desire of nations; Ye have seen His natal star. (Refrain) Saints, before the altar bending, Watching long in hope and fear; Suddenly the Lord, descending, In His temple shall appear. (Refrain) All creation, join in praising God, the Father, Spirit, Son, Evermore your voices raising To th’ eternal Three in One. (Refrain) (Additional original verse:) Though an Infant now we view Him, He shall fill His Father’s throne, Gather all the nations to Him; Every knee shall then bow down: James Montgomery, pub.1816

If you are listening to this, wondering if there is a Jesus- He is real. He's complete, tender love and He wants to know you. Look for Him and you'll easily find Him.

I like this version (old Winchester) better than the Handel version.
