Ugh! I really feel for you guy. As I write this, I'm sitting here with a very painful hip labral tear, which is forcing me to gimp around with a cane while waiting for my surgery day. What's worse, is that I'm not sure how long the recovery time will be, while Florida just announced the upcoming extra-long red snapper season. Hope you get better soon!👍

OUCH!!! I tore my calf a few years ago. Felt it snap like a rubber band. No pain until I took a step, then wow! Swelled up like a balloon overnight. Couldn't walk at all for a few days. It was a few weeks before I was moving around again. Maybe get yourself a beach chair and a piggyback from Bearded Brad.

Aye dude great chat with ya at the grand opening Fri. When we were talking about the tornado day last year I didn't get a chance to tell you story of what happened at the point there a month later! I was fishing at the point there by myself and got Spanish hooked to my hand and it was bad! Deep in the knuckle on my thumb. I tried to flag some one down but everyone was too far away, the boats that went by thought I was waving to them! Then also I forgot my pliers in the truck and immediately realized I was in big trouble. It was 100 deg out that day, super hot! I started to go into shock after that and laid down in the hot sun on the shore bleeding like crazy. Before I passed out I could think about was how hot I was! Well the next thing I new I was swimming 50ft offshore in a strong out going tide with a Spanish Mackerel still strapped to my hand gushing blood., swam back to shore without losing my arm to a Hammerhead! lol After that I found a pocket knife in my gear and cut it off. So the I had the same 1/4 mile walk back to the truck and went Gulf Breeze Med Center! Now I keep 2 pairs of pliers and 2 pairs of wire cutters with me at all times! By the way Brant epic day on the beach, it's all worth it every moment. Right? lol

Great video Brant! There was some awesome catching in this one. Really sorry to hear about your calf muscle. I had that happen about 23 years ago playing racket ball. Got stupid and didn’t do physio on it for years. Don’t be me, do your physio as soon as you can. Take care and thanks for sharing!

Not your typical fishing injury for sure. Hope your calf heals nicely. The Spanish are all over the bay system right now. Caught some 20” plus Spanish out at the new 3 mile bridge rubble along a 42” cobia on Wednesday.
