I know it's been 5 years, and I hope you're doing ok. I believe they designed Eternal to be more like classic DooM. Enemies look closer to classic DooM and so does the blood and other things. It's like an homage and renewal all in one. Now I'm no crazy fanatic. Love all DooM games since 1993 but I play casually. Only beat Eternal once. But I've felt for a replay recently.

I like the addition of the grappling hook, it reminds me a lot of Quake 2 CTF :). Matter of fact, I am getting a bit of a Quake I vibe from this game as well. It almost feels like a mix of the two, although it still feels distinctly Doom. Overall an amazing trailer. I am getting very hyped for this game.
