They make superhero games with heroes that by default break the conventions of video games by making such powers that the enemies' threat level is reduced to nothing, like with the Hulk. But because it's a video game they have to reduce the Hulk's power level drastically so you end up with a character that has only a superficial similarity to the character it's supposed to represent. They can never make a Hulk video game that follows the conventional design trend of leveling up, grinding for gear and having more powerful enemies if they are of higher level than Hulk himself. Then only way to make a Hulk game is to make some sort of... Voxel-based entirely destructible world that has no limits to how powerful the Hulk can be. Like a weird Katamari Damacy/Minecraft/Hulk ultimate smash.

PSN Soma the thing is you have to address this with nuance. You act as if all microtransactions are bad to any degree. They’re not. I’m willing to forgive some of them like in Cyberpunk as long as most of the game is unaffected. Here, the game is basically a vehicle for micro transactions with the avengers as an aside. It’s shameless. It’s all about the degree of the microtransactions and how much they permeate the game.

I completely agree with the “fix it later” bullshit mentality. That’s one of the biggest problems with games that are on this huge of a scale. The fact that this game sold out to such stupid brands for seemingly no reason just comes to show how companies want money. While we’re at it, those KZbinrs and content creators are embarrassing, nothing else needs to be said. When a company keeps pushing a game back and we say “more time makes a better game” which is true for a lot of stuff, this game isn’t one of those. They pushed this back so much and still couldn’t fix itself. You shouldn’t make a superhero game that’s barely above 10 hours. Just to sum it up, they went on the hype train that is marvel, and just made a looter game to generate income which is sad coming from square enix. If you like the game, then cool that’s your opinion. However, to me this game is just a cash grab on people who love marvel, sad.

This a thousand times. I'm seeing a lot of people defending the fact that bad games can massively improve with fixes and patches, as we saw with No Man's Sky. However, that's the problem. Developers rush things for market deadlines, and they cut corners and leave stuff for later. Because, you know, money. And NMS's case is vastly different. This game was flawed, yes. But it was (in my opinion) honestly flawed, if that makes any sense. This Avengers game, however, was done in a mediocre way, because people will buy it anyway, and they'll add more crap later, and more crap equals more good, right? So who cares about the poor writing and gameplay? We've got sales to make!

We can expect the dev to improve a f2p game because that's one of the major requirement to keep their games afloat. However, for a game like this, since we have to pay $60 for an entry fee, the dev has all the right to NOT update the game for ages, or worst case, lie to us. Anthem promised 10 years journey, look how many ppl remember it? Dice supported Battlefront 2 for 1 year, and then they announced no more updates. When F76 was announced I was excited, but said I wouldn't buy it because I just knew better, and I wanted Bethesda to really polish the game; 2 of my friends ended up gifting it to me so that's the second title. Tl;dr? Learn ur lessons already. Wait for w.e newly released game u want, to have some reviews up then watch them, or some "no commentary" gameplay and figure out if u really should, or want to, spend on the game. This game only had 4 villains: Abomination, Taskmaster, MODOK, & they also set up Scientist Supreme. Marvel’s Spider-Man had more than 3 times that many: Kingpin, Shocker, Scorpion, Rhino, Electro, Vulture, Mr. Negative, Doctor Octopus, Screwball, Tombstone, Taskmaster (he was in this game too), Hammerhead, & they even had Norman Osborn pre-Green Goblin, Black Cat, & Silver Sable who all three are on the fence.

If you level up to the max everything is still a sponge, so its the same, cause they scale with you. You can have a rpg, with gear, and leveling up, and still have grunts you one shot but comes in numbers, stronger enemies you gotta find weaknesses and bosses. Having the same enemies over and over with more armor than hulk even when theyre just a normal guys, doesnt make it a good rpg.
