It doesn't help that you can spend literally 20+ hours running around after your first visit with Victor doing everything except the main quest before you ever even talk to him again. That 6 month time-skip so dilutes the relationship that it doesn't feel much stronger than when you first meet him in the Prologue. Can you imagine how much it would have affected you to have a strong bond with him and his Mom? Maybe even helping his relationship with Misty? Talk about your missed opportunity. And speaking of the funeral and the visit to his little garage/workshop/crash pad, trying to get all the info by asking questions makes it seem like 'V' didn't pay any attention to the guy at all! WT actual F. CDPR really dropped the ball on the V/Jackie best friends relationship.

@@Uldihaa i did have some of a connection, but it's an old issue for me: "Person that is shown to be important to the Main Char has something happen to them. Emotional!" But we, the players, had just a few scenes... or a 15 to maybe 60 minute Tutorial/Prologue with the character... sure, you might feel bad about it because the protag liked the character, or because in that short time the char was sympathetic... but it just won't have as much impact...

I was disappointed in that there weren't any "day to day" activities in Night City. I couldn't take the day to go to the theater then sit down at a ramen shop and eat a bowl of noodles. Things that would allow you to be a citizen of Night City. Even copying Red Dead type side activities would have been fine. There were too few immersive things to do outside of an actual quest.

Yeah I can agree with this cause I was lucky to not get more then a couple bugs and this was on base console (but I'll touch on that in a sec), and even if I did I can handle bugs But the cut content and lieing is defintly somthing that ticked me off, I mean Christ i knew they cut the main quest down (they admited to this due to complaints witcher 3 was to long which fuck those people), but you can tell they cut hours out of it most notably the start where you get a freaking Cutscene and a timeskip then 4 missions of a "prologue" and a heap of disjointed side quests and meetings (namely fixers), and yes there's more but that's my biggest gripe And onto the false advertising yeah there's a few big ones there, namely saying it worked on base consoles when no it didn't the game actully made you feel sick on a base (litterly and figurtivly), and here's one of the biggest lies the whole it's an RPG this was marketed for years until fairly recently I believe when most players had already preordered and stopped watching the info due to fear of spoilers (I mean Jackie's death for instance made me stop watching trailers), so never knew they had changed it quietly from rpg to action/adventure, kinda makes me think they spoiled that on purpose to hide it from rpg fanboys who would have dropped there preorders if they knew

"I want the game that they originally promised" - that. Don't care about multiplayer or DLCs for now. I want a functional game with no bugs, trains instead of the lame fast travel boxes, meaningful cybermods, ripperdoc animations, much better enemy and NPC AI, cops that don't spawn out of thin air, 3rd person cutscenes, deeper customization of both the character and habitat and expanded "lifepath exclusive" missions/dialogue options. most of what you asked for doesn't matter. Having train is pointless because there are so many fast travel points why would you want less ways to travel? That makes no sense on a design level. Ripperdoc animations are redundant and would get tiersome especially if you use them a-lot. They never promised 3rd person gameplay plus it doesn't need it since its not a GTA clone. I wish you guys would just admit you where looking for GTA 6 in this game because a-lot of these complaints are starting to make no real sense. They should definitely fix the Ai, the cops and glitches but a-lot of the other stuff are just preferences that dont impact anything at the end of the day.

yeah it didn't impact the story that much but was still cool. You went from a normal person to having a robot voice, cyborg legs and a cyborg punch. It's too bad RPG's don't have an "appearence" modifier on speechcraft. Like would a storekeeper give a discount on a creepy guy wearing a scary skull mask like my character in Skyrim? In that game my tall skinny character, wearing heavy robes and a creepy skull mask hiding his face, went around the town trying to talk to and adopt small girls...

@@mikesully110 Actually they are check Kingdom Come: Deliverance NPCs react to the way you dress even if you're dirty or clean. They comment on it and your stats affecting speech checks like Charisma it gets buffed or decreased according on what you wear and how is your hygiene state. So it can actually happen.

What I'm surprised is that they didn't put something in to push you towards being a cyberpsycho once you hit a certain level of tech in your body, but that may have been too much for players to deal with, with the Artifact breaking down. Shadowrun and some other cyberpunk game do this with Essence loss, etc. but not sure if Cyberpunk does.

FYI, the intro missions for each way of life were probably put in near the end side of the development because you have a HUD before you get the eye upgrade. The script with the Doc doesnt make sense since he says "now you should see an ammo count" but I already could see my ammo count beforehand?

With the incorporation of Keanu, they made the game around HIM, thus lots and lots of features had to be cut for the new approach and bc of the difficulties to implement all of them. That's why you are a STREET KID no matter the background, and why 95% of dialog choices are redundant. Honestly, they should have stared with that from the begining, dont try to chew more than you can. One path only, make a great somehow linear story, add then DLC's, flesh out the world with different activities, no perk system (it's quite useless being honest), just 6-7 basic attributes and call it a day. Expand with lots of characters, arcs, mission types, ingame economy and finish it on time. Then add multiplayer and profit with skins, despite saying you "leave greed to others", gamers and shills will forgive you, since you are not EA. Much more easier and faster than going full berserk mode with an RPG from scratch, with a new engine, with the proyect shifting constantly and working your developers like in a mine.

There's literally thousands of random food items scattered randomly to make the environment look and feel more "full" and they all do the same thing, but have different skins, which you cant even use during a fight. I'm not even sure why npcs let you buy alcohol that acts as a debuff and have it go directly into your inventory. You didnt even mention the terrible clothing system with locked stats. You have a choice: Wear cool ass looking outfit that you found with 10 armor, or wear an orange bikini, buffalo fur hat, pink shorts, green swimsuit and flip flops with 250 armor. There is no way to upgrade old items to good stats.

There is an upgrade option in the crafting menu. But its cost prohibitive and not really good enough to let you keep using what you want. I think they wanted to let you do that but once again didn't deliver.

You have to look for clothing with mod slots. Then use one of the mods that boost Armor like 100. I also found that if you go to a clothes store, save and reload. The options/items with mods can change. But I agree it should be better.

I think I had the most fun just doing the beginning missions with Jackie because it felt like I was actually grinding my way up to the major leagues of night city. Tbf this is Cyberpunk. The obvious creator OCs are the "legends" in the setting, and the story almost always revolves around them. It's not Keanus fault here. I'd love to see this in the form of a massive overhaul of the prologue portion of the game: replace the 1-2 minute montage cutscene after the lifepath parts with interactive instances of V and Jackie bonding, cappin' fools, and so forth that last much longer and add in some smaller semi-slice of life missions before being contacted by Dexter DeShaun for the heist to give more of a reason for players to like Jackie as a character. While I loved the choomba, a lot of other people didn't as we barely got any playtime with the gonk.

Played Cyberpunk for over 50 hours and I think the fixes roadmap should be split into 5 acts throughout 2021 I Act 1. Bugs/Crashes (Now to end of March) I Act 2. NPC, Police and traffic AI (June) I Act 3. Missing world content. (March to September) I Act 4. Next gen update PS5/XSX (October/November) I 5. Paid Expansions - 1. Overall, this game just felt shorter than the Witcher 3. I know they said they made it shorter cause their stats showed a large majority of people never finished the Witcher 3, but honestly, a longer game would have worked to really flesh out some of these characters. I really like Judy, but you only did a few missions for her. I finished the game in a month, which I know is longer than most who finished the game in a week or two, but it was disappointing how little your choices mattered, and in the end, none of those relationships even mattered, least of which Johnny and V’s relationship. Some NPC's react to your presence without you doing anything. They may ask you what the f*** you're doing standing there, or if you're looking for someone, or if you want to buy something or need directions. Have your gun drawn near mpc's and they react accordingly. Some say "hey mister you might want to put that away you're scaring people around here" did you get around the wrong NPC with your weapon drawn. You're probably get a response like, "you might want to get rid of that if you don't want trouble"

@@Amory-wd3ws That is not going to happen. That just isn't what you are going to get with fully voiced characters and modern graphics. 1. Modern graphics ensure that it takes such amount of time and money that you have to narrow down the scope. This means that you have to make things linear. You don't have enough money or time to create the perfect quest or choices. You have to settle with good enough. 2. Fully voiced characters ensure that a verity of choices will not exist. To record thousands of thousands of voice lines just to have different options in a quest will cost to much time and money. You can either have many voice lines, or many quests. Pick one. You will be hanged for both, but one will cause way more outrage then the other. Fallout New Vegas suffered from this as well. In Fallout 1 and 2 you were able to play a "low int" run. They made sure that if you were so stupid, everyone pointed out just how stupid you was. That was not possible in New Vegas as you can not rewrite the whole game to make fun over your stupid character. They had a few options here and there about it, but in general the game didn't care. Fallout New Vegas had to cut many things as modern games (in 2010) can not copy everything good from Fallout 1 and 2. You can just do more things with a limited scope in terms of graphics. As for New Vegas. First we must recognize that if we are going to talk bugs, New Vegas was not any better then Cyberpunk at the start. It was rushed as well, and bugs were plenty. We also need to remember that Fallout New Vegas is built on scarped ideas of Van Buren (the first Fallout 3). So the lead author of New Vegas had almost a decade to think about New Vegas. That saved them a lot of time, money and made sure they can focus on other things. New Vegas does have some great quests. But lets not forget that it has plenty of quests that are not as well thought out, lack choice and are limited. Do not let nostalgia make the game better then it actually is. If you want a deep RPG. Create your own with some like minded friends. In a TTRPG you don't suffer the graphical issues that a computer RPG suffer. In a TTRPG, you are only limited to the creativity of yourself and your fellow players. You can create 3rd options that were not even in the script.

@@Cloud_Seeker All of those points honestly just sound like excuses when the developers have millions of dollars at their disposal, hundreds of developers worth of manpower and nearly an entire decade to complete their project. Bethesda used the same exact excuse of "having a voiced protagonists means that you can't record as many lines as when you have a silent one" with Fallout 4, despite the fact that nobody in the community asked for a fully voiced protagonist to begin with. In the case of Cyberpunk this is even more egregious as they hired an expensive A-list celebrity to voice a lot of the lines when they could have just hired a decent, cheap voice actor and recorded significantly more. In the case of CP a lot of people also complained about the quality of the protagonist VOs, so CDPR might have just been better off making a silent protagonist anyway. The point is that many people are asking for deep RPG games, and the AAA-industry isn't providing them and using ridiculous excuses like "it costs too much!" while they burn 90% of their entire development budget on intensively advertising and marketing their mediocre games. Considering just how many people are asking for such an RPG game, I'd wager that many would be perfectly okay with only having a silent protagonist if this meant that you could actually role-play a character, instead of playing a pre-defined one, and be offered a lot more choices as a result. The argument also seems to be that "such an RPG would surely not sell that well", but it's pretty moot when you consider the fact that companies aren't providing them so they have no way of knowing how much these would actually sell. They'd rather take the safe option of creating generic open world sandbox game with light RPG elements instead, but again, that doesn't mean that the demand isn't there. The real problem (and not the cheap excuses) for why this would be problematic is because all of these sound files would take up a lot of space, even with modern compression methods, but I think people would be fine if they were told that the reason why their game is 100+ GBs in size is because of all the extra meaningful content, and not because of 4k textures when the vast majority of people on PC don't play at that resolution, or because of a million different skins for the tacked-on multiplayer modes that all of these games need to have, or for the multiplayer content that is on the disk but inaccessible to them unless they spend extra money to unlock them, and so on. As for modern graphics, I just don't see your point. In the case of CP the open world has already been created, they just needed to populate it with interesting NPCs instead of a million copy pasted enemy "outposts". I honestly don't see the correlation between the ability to role-play and meaningful choices in a game and it's graphical fidelity. If this is a question of them not having enough money and time to focus on both then please refer to the "they burn 90% of their budget on advertisement" argument above.

I like that there's several 'bad ends' or downer endings. This is a cyberpunk genre, after all. It would be a bit incongruous if your character ends the game as someone who could solve everything and live happily ever after. Even in the Nomad ending, the 'best' ending, you still don't solve the underlying problems with Night City and the world, you simply choose to disengage with it all and choose family over personal glory.

Sorry Joe but you're wrong about the endings - SPOILER ENDING DISCUSSION BELOW The original V dies in all endings; either they commit suicide, or they're killed by the Soulkiller program. The V that continues after the final mission is an engram - a digital copy inhabiting the body of the original V. This is a huge moral quandry that I was expecting the game to explore more (a la Soma), but it was never addressed at all! Even V just goes 'okay' when they're told about how Soulkiller works. The endings are my biggest gripe with the game; not a single one felt satisfying to me, and they all completely failed to address the deeper and darker things happening with V, Soulkiller, and Night City. In retrospect I actually think the suicide ending is the best one; it's the only ending where the original V has any control over what happens to them, and where they can go out together as friends with Johnny...

@@jankfloyd158 Yes is right, I believe if you fulfill said conditions that Arasaka legitimately tries to save you. You might not be able to trust anyone in NC but honor is another matter it would seem. The funny thing is while Misty gets upset I actually saw it as taking her and Jackie's advice. On that walk up the stairs she says "Jackie finally decided to bet on himself". The way I see it, on my first playthrough, taking the Arasaka route wasn't fucking anyone over. It was V betting on themself. I recovered, made it out AND kept my word. They say V only has 6 months? Pff we'll see about that, crumpled the VIP offer up.

The reason why misty voicemail is important; the corporate ending is the only one which she says "bad things are coming. Watch your new corpo friends." So ya no guarantee they kept you alive.
